Answer:	The wire that I purchased was 14/2 and was not rated for direct-burial or in-wall use. You should look for wire specified for that application. This would not be suitable for that, though I would be comfortable hanging/stringing it along under eaves or a patio roof, so long as it was reasonably sheltered.

Answer:	Audio signals are AC, therefore it can be used on AC current. However, why would you use it to wire your mains? Much cheaper wire is available for that. Look up your local electrical codes for safe current ratings for a given gauge wire. Or did you mean something else by "power"?

Answer:	The wire will hold up to the elements. You should make provisions to make your speaker connection moisture free. Maybe silicone the ends and i would definitely not use bana plugs as that would only make for another way for moisture and corrosion to play into the job

Question:	Is the strand with the solid red line positive or negative
Answer:	I don't think it matters if you use the red for positive or negative, as long as you use the wire the same way on both stereo speakers. On the back of a lot of stereo amps/receivers and speakers, one terminal is colored red, and the other is black. For simplicity's sake, I would just put the red wire into the red terminals, and the plain wire into the black terminals. Stereo speakers make sound by moving in and out, pushing air. To make sure both speakers are moving in and out at the same time, be sure to wire both of them the same way, red/black. If you wire them differently, one speaker will be moving in at the same time the other is moving out, which can affect your listening enjoyment. Also, please note that this 12 gauge wire is really too thick for most stereo applications. I had to trim the ends way down to get it to fit into my 1973 receiver and speaker terminals. Unless you are running some really high-end audio equipment, or need to run the wire long distances, the thinner 18 gauge wire should work just fine, and probably cost less per foot.
Question:	Can this be used permanently outdoors year round. I live in the deep south so no extreme weather conditions just rain
Answer:	I don't think this wire is sufficiently covered to be exposed to rain on a regular basis. I would look for something that has thick rubber or plastic wrapping, something specifically made for outdoors. Also, I found that this 12 gauge wire is too thick for the terminals on my 1970s stereo receiver and speakers. I had to trim the ends way down to get the wire to fit. Unless you are running some very high-powered sound applications, I think the thinner 18 gauge wire would be much more useful.
Question:	can this wire handle 125VAC and above, if not where can I find wire that can
Answer:	This wire can handle up to 125vac, but would definitely not push it past that. I would suggest using 10 or 8 gauge wire for anything over. Any box store hardware would have the higher gauge.

Answer:	Yes to power CB radio, however this might be over kill for your need. Please review the Wattage that your CB Radio draws at maxim power (See the manual that came with your radio), if it is under 5Watts / 12 voltage = .41 total AMPS of current-you are under 1 amp of power draw. With that light of a power load you do not need 10 Gage wire. As for Battery Terminal Posts, Yes they make all sorts of Battery terminal extensions to attache wires.

Answer:	Not a dumb question, either wire is okay into either color. Just be sure both ends of each wire are color specific. In other words, black to black and red to red. Also splice plastic cleanly and be sure the little wires that make up the whole wire get locked in cleanly to connector. Any stray wires not locked may impede the sound quality. Answer:	I agree and don't remember the weight - I still have 30 feet of it. The spool it came on weighs about 4.5 ounces and with the 30 feet wire, it is about 1 pound 3 ounces. It really is nice wire - wish I had 10 more feet as I need 40' to run to one of my speakers. I need to check if it comes in 50' quantity.
Question:	The two strands in the picture look the same. How do you distinguish +/- in long runs
Answer:	Both strands of wire are identical. The only difference is one is marked with a blue stripe to help you identify that specific strand. When connecting the wires, ensure you connect each strand to the same corresponding terminal on each end of your connection. For example, blue stripe to negative, no-stripe to positive. Connect in the same manner on both ends and you shouldn't have any problems. For cleaner connections, add banana plugs or pin plugs to the ends (banana plugs for binding post terminals, pin plugs for spring clip terminals.)

Answer:	This is not rated for high temperature applications. It’s intended for use primarily in wall or in ground.
