Answer:	Flat (planar) surface needs to be perpendicular ("facing") towards the direction from your home to the broadcast towers. Use https://www.fcc.gov/media/engineering/dtvmaps to see your stations based on your location.

Answer:	I do need the internet for communication even though it's not necessary for the antenna. And I do need wifi. The antenna is for the purpose of cutting down costs and I haven't seen where having or not having the internet has any impact on the overall cost.

Answer:	Tests show the Black Berkey filters remove up to 95% of lead and a host of other heavy metals.

Answer:	There's plastic in it (the screws) so that sets off prop 65. The Plastic itself is safe but in the manufacturing some things are used that aren't. Prop 65 is waay too vast to be useful.

Answer:	In an independent test done last year, the Black Berkey filter elements with the PF-2 attachments filtered out the following:Uranium: 100%Lead: 100%Mercury: 99.8%Cesium: 98.6%Aluminum: 86.6%Copper: 100%Arsenic: 100%Strontium: 100%Cadmium: 100%The test they performed in this case was only for heavy metals, so it of course filters out much more than just these things, as shown in other tests. This just highlights the heavy metals. Hope this helps!
Question:	Will it work with a fire stick plugged in
Answer:	It depends on how much water you filter & how many filters you use (2 or 4). Also, normal city water varies due to local water hardness. We fill up the filter 1 to 2 times per day (usually twice) with 4 & change them every 6 months, but if we didn't have kids, our filters would probably last us about twice as long. However, this is still cheaper than other filtering methods we've used & does a much better job.

Answer:	You can adjust the picture quality to compensate for slower speeds to avoid consistent buffering. This is accessed through a "secret menu". Press home 5 times, then rewind 3 times, then fast forward 2 times. Set to SD or experiment with what works.

Answer:	There is a weather channel available from the applications menu/no charge. Different subscription offers provide channels for broadcast TV. The offering may different due to geography. In Oregon, If you get a 30 MPS internet from Spectrum, you can down load the application for a wide offering of local and cable type TV channels- free. You will need to buy a router, they supply the modem. The internet with programing is $54/month.. Shop around for that part. Roku with its top 2 newer units is fantastic, been using from the older style for years.

Answer:	I bought this product which company? Amazon stopped working a second was sent. After a bunch of fooling around up and down on the roof , changing antennas and boxes it was finally found the coax with the kit was the problem. The rotaor is kind of a joke. finally got it working pretty good. But is the plastic body and hand screws to the mast going to hold in bad weather? I dont want to be on an icy roof. About 26 chanals not bad good and clear now.

Answer:	first off this is NOT a good product I am 35 miles from transmitter and cannot receive all channels. The info they have sent you is incorrect you can hook all your TV's in your house using a splitter I have 4 tv outlets hooked the main feed to the tv side of splitter and the 4 feeds to the other side of splitter. as the cable box is outside the remote to turn the antenna will not work as it is not water proof. So buy a American antenna if you can find one this piece of junk is from China.

Question:	Anyone have any issues with their recording schedules disappearing? Mine wiped all my schedules
Answer:	Ok I don't have this model but I have another model by same company (HW-150pvr) and it is dumping schedules too. I've had two units over 4 years and it's happened in the past but happening a lot more now. I'm on Amazon to find a replacement because this is unacceptable. I'm thinking Mediasonic is to be avoided.

Answer:	I used a 500GB salvaged out of an old laptop that was totally dead. I ordered a cheap $7.99 ORICO USB3.0 to SATA III 2.5" External Hard Drive Enclosure from Amazon as well to mount it in. Worked perfectly. I've also used a cheap (free) 32GB USB thumb drive that I didn't have any problem with. Got that thumb drive free from a Microcenter computer store.

Question:	What do I do about failure of forestick to of firestick to engage password
Answer:	Offhand my advice is to return it. I first installed this on a TV that had a DVD player attached I ran into the problem you had however I had another TV without a DVD player I was able to put a password in but I couldn't get it to change the screen. I even left it on for several hours no change. I had a 2nd streaming kit it starts with an “R” it worked as soon as I was done with all the steps.

Answer:	That will depend on the USB port on your TV. Mine turns off. I stopped using it though because the power was always too low - again this has to do with your specific TV and not the Firestick or cable.

Answer:	Not all USB ports have enough power output to use the new generation of Firestick. It requires 900mA. Check your TV owners manual.

Answer:	You would need to know if your existing TV has a ATSC tuner. If it has an NTSC tuner, it will not work as 99% of broadcasters no longer use that type of signal. Simply saying if it has a coax connector it will work, is wrong. That simply means it has 75 ohm impedance and not the old 2 wire twin lead 300 ohm for the tuner. If you have an old outdoor antenna, it will work, just would need a 75 ohm coax balun transformer and some RG-6 coax cable. The old RG-58 or RG-59 used years ago would not be good as it picks up too much noise.

Answer:	maybe some of them. I was disappointed with my purchase. We live within 30 miles of the transmitters and some of the stronger broadcast stations come in ok, the others sporadic and signal breaks up.
