Question:	will this work on my camper
Answer:	It worked great with my YAGI antenna but you probably have a much smaller type for your camper. However, the amplifier doesn't care what kind of antenna you have. If your antenna is inside a camper with a metal shell, give up. Otherwise, one thing you might consider is powering the amplifier directly from your battery instead of your 115VAC inverter.
Question:	Can this be installed by the tv? My antenna is not close to a power source to plug it in
Answer:	The Preamp is outdoor rated and you deliver it power via the coaxial that used to go to the antenna and then insert a new coaxial between it and the antenna. It comes with some rubber boots to weather protect those connections. You can then put the power inserter at the other end of the coaxial. For single TV setups just place it near the TV and plug it into the wall. For me, I placed the power inserter on just before the distribution amp which is less then 10 feet away (mostly vertical) anyway and have both amps running off the same outlet. I lost a whole bunch of station just using the distribution amp but adding this near the antenna brought them all back and even stronger then before. The station 34 miles away is still weak and the one 56 miles away is just a blip but those less then 24 miles away are solid like when I was only running 1 TV.
Question:	If i only plug in the power injector and not the pre-amp with fm trap will it still improve my signal
Answer:	No, I think you're trying to improve your signal without powering this device. I've done that for my neighbor using a Radio Shack 15-1113b distribution amplifier downstream from this. The Radio Shack unit somehow provide power to this unit and the signal is perfect by regulating over-signaling, which is common for this type of preamp. If you can't find the Radio Shack, you can probably find the Leviton 48210-VA that works similar.
Question:	If the power goes out, does the antenna still work with the Preamp
Answer:	I doubt the device requires 120VAC. More likely, the Wall Wart reduces / transforms the 120VAC to a lower direct current voltage. Thus, were it essential to retain the amplification during a power outage, I suspect one could fix up an alternative power source. Absent this approach, cutting the AC power would turn the amplification off and it would n longer boost the signal at all.

Answer:	I am not sure - I live in a big city and though my apartment is on a lower floor, I have not had any trouble getting reception. In fact, the picture is very clear, and I get many channels! It may not depend so much on being near a city as being near a tower that transmits signals. You should check to see which is the nearest tower.
Question:	Will i get a 58 miles away signal
Answer:	To know what stations you can get and what kind of antenna you need to get them, put in your address in antennaweb.org. That site will give you a color coded list of available stations for your address, how far away each tower is, degrees from center. When you click on each station, there will be a popup telling you what kind of antenna you'd need to get that station. 58 miles away is pretty far. It would be my guess you'd need an outside antenna for that distance. But it also depends on terrain between you and the towers, where your tv is in your house, if there's a window nearby, direction your tv room faces, the strength of the signal from each tower, and other factors. It's a system where you have to just try different things to see what works for your conditions. I use indoor antennas. I prefer NONamplified ones plugged into separate ampts, so I can remove the amp if I want. I get a lot of stations; all of my towers are less than 25 miles away. My tv room faces the direction of where the towers are, and there's a window 3 feet from my tv. I'm lucky. Urban settings are more likely to be that way.

Answer:	Mine are 38 1/2" from the base. The base is about 1 1/2", making about 40" from the tabletop surface. If you fully extend them horizontally, have to add 2 x 38 1/2" plus the distance across to base of 3 1/2" for a distance of 80 1/2".Mhz does not apply, but knowing they rate frequency by the channel pickup of channels 2-13 should give you an idea of the range.

Question:	Is there a powered splitter or something that would allow this product to work for placement in between the preamp and power inserter
Answer:	If you want to have a splitter between the preamp and the power inserted, you need to use a "power passing" splitter. I used this one from Amazon http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0018BN0UW/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. You may choose a different one depending on the number of connections you need at the splitter.
Question:	can this be used with Winegard FL6550A to strengthen the signal
Answer:	No. It has a built in preamp. I used this preamp with the FL6550A antenna and the channels I had dropped in half from 51 to 26. Actually makes the FL6550A antenna perform worse!
Question:	Can I use this to boost sig for 2 antennas: Clear Stream's DB4E UHF antenna PLUS C5 VHF antenna? Do I put the amp after the combiner
Answer:	I'll add my answer for future installers. I run two dual element antennas pointed in opposite directions and use TWO preamps -> then combine.If I were running two antennas for the purpose of band separation (UHF / VHF) - I might combine first then preamp. The BUMMER here - is that this is an EXCEPTIONAL unit with only 1db of noise. That means it outperforms other preamps that declare higher gains. This Wineguard amplifies the VHF and the UHF signals separately - which would make you ask - WHY ON GOD's GREEN EARTH would you NOT give us the ability to hook up separate UHF / VHF antenna feeds??There are preamps out there that do have separate inputs - RCA has a very popular unit around $20 but it won't perform as well as this overall. Id try FIRST - to combine at the mast- preamp and then distribute.If you don't like the results - you can ALWAYS add another preamp and change it to a preamp for each antenna then combine. What a shame though - since you would only be using half the capability of each preamp in the second scenario.
Question:	Will this booster improve (%) both signal strength & quality? Will it make the OTA CH's that are 100% (w/o amp) worse
Answer:	You have a given amount of tv signal present in the air, (assuming, your within range and elevation to capture a signal), also signals fluctuate according to temperature and moisture present in the atmosphere. So this is generally a constant changing thing that we have no control. Sometimes there are band openings that cause tv signals to behave in ways in both favorable and unfavorable depending on conditions that are present. Your digital TV tuner in your TV, in order to lock onto a signal, (that signal must be of high integrity and not out of phase). Generally the antennas of higher gain do better than cheap off the shelf small antennas (especially indoor/outdoor models). Also the inexpensive antenna systems that claim 150 or more mile range. All feedline has loss; some are better than others in this problem. The more loss in your TV feedline cable, will result in less tv signal reaching your TV tuner. RG-6 is a better grade than rg-59 resulting in better quantity of signal available to the tv tuner. Tv preamplifiers like this one, boost the signal level at the antenna location so as to compensate for the loss in your cable run to the tv tuner. Another issue is that you cannot amplify a signal without creating noise (distortion), in the signal. Some preamplifiers do their job by not creating so much noise in the signal. (The lower the noise, the better); regardless of gain figures although high gain does help. This unit is of good quality and has the added benefit of separate uhf/vhf antenna inputs for those who need to use single band tv antennas to achieve high results to specific applications. Your TV tuner can only lock onto a signal of high integrity. This unit is a good choice to help deliver that signal to the tuner, assuming everything else is in order. If multiple antennas are used for digital TV reception; they must be connected prior to being amplied, otherwise it will be out of phase and the tv can't lock onto signal like that. Answer:	While snow does not have an effect, sometimes, but not often, atmospheric conditions make static when the FM station 65 miles away is in stereo. Switching off the stereo kills the static.

Question:	Does this antenna pick up vhf stations? this is important to me as most antennas today do only a weak job of it
Answer:	NO! It is excellent for UHF, but forget about VHF. I have a signal meter which shows 0 for signal strength for a VHF High band channel. The broadcast tower is the same distance away as other towers broadcasting UHF that is showing on my meter from 98 to 100! If you need VHF, forget this one. You should also check the changes to be made in your area, which could result in more VHF broadcasts in the near future.

Question:	I plugged into my tvs and nothing happened? I have a toshiba and samsung HDTV. What am I doing wrong
Answer:	Mine is hooked up to LG HDTV. Not where I can look right now, but look at the instructions. Do you need an HDMI cord? I am really not good with this stuff. Know I didn't need anything extra. Just connected directly into my tv, but think instructions did mention a HDMI connection. If your instructions don't work, you might just google how to connect a indoor antenna to your Toshiba and again to your samsung HDTV. Good luck. I am totally inept at this stuff, so have every belief you can do it too!
Question:	For multiple tv's in your home, do you need one for each tv
Answer:	The antennas are inexpensive but work very well (see review). What I did was hook two antennas to each TV. I position one antenna north/south, the other east/west. Much better reception & you receive more channels (& they don't "drop out" very often. Here's what you do:1) purchase two attennas for each TV2) purchase the Channel Plus 2512 DC & IR Passing 2 Way Splitter/Combiner for each TV3) purchase the Monoprice 3ft. RG6 Coaxial Cable for each TV. Both of the above are sold @ Amazon.

Answer:	It does come with the connector to the cable connection on the back of your TV. Is that what you mean?
Question:	Will this pick up a digital signal? Or do I need a digital antenna
Answer:	There is no such thing as a "digital antenna" - the terminology is just a marketing term. All digital signals are transmitted over the air on the UHF frequency band, which is the same band that the old analog channels 14 through 68 used to be transmitted on. So to pick up a digital signal all you really need is a UHF antenna, which is the smaller rectangular loop in this antenna. With this antenna, I am able to pick up over 100 digital channels at my house.

Question:	How does this hold up in the heat in an attic
Answer:	I am not sure how the antenna body holds up to the heat in the attic, but my amplifier is in my attic and it has been working fine for the past six months with no degradation in signal. My antenna body is mounted at the high point of my roof along the eve of the roof and is exposed to the elements (sun, rain and wind). It performs very well meeting my expectations for this particular model.
Question:	In my apartment, I have it laying on top of our vertical blinds which is the highest point of our living room. Only get one channel, any suggestions
Answer:	Do you have the amplifier plugged in correctly- between the antenna and the TV and power supply plugged in? Have you used auto-tune or channel search on your TV to find channels? Try moving the antenna just outside the window- the cable should squeeze between the window opening still allowing the window to close (my neighbor did this). If you have an old satellite dish mounted anywhere outside with cables running in, you can actually mount the antenna to the dish and use those cables- would probably get best reception. Good luck!

Answer:	40 years in the business. All american attitude: if it costs more; it has to be better. The SKY60 itself performs well. NOT $150.00 well. This RCA unit will outperform ALL antennas of its catagory. Here is the answer. Use RG-6 Quad shield coaxial cable only. 1 foot or 100 ft; no difference. Use the "in line" amp privided AND at least a 10 to 15db adjustable amplifier after the inline amp but BEFORE any splitter. No cascading splitters any time. RG-59 coax cable (provided) is absolutely sub standard. This unit is rated at 40 mile distance. Have seen 80 mile distance with this unit as well. Outdoor "peak" mount is a must for top performance.

Answer:	You need to use the adapter called a bias "T" (included with the pre amp) that plugs into the wall and sends DC power (10-12 V) to the Preamp (usually located at the antenna) via the coax cable . This is how almost all TV antenna Preamps work. The coax can usually drive 2 -4 or more TVs but you will need a divider. Rick (Electrical Engineer)
Question:	Does this amp have to be mounted at the antenna or can it be installed at the point of entry into the house
Answer:	The amp is meant to be installed on the antenna pole directly under the antenna. The power part can be installed at the point of entry but I have found it works much better installed as close to the amp as possible even on the antenna pole with the amp.
