My sister-in-law bought one of these but she lives in the middle of St. Louis, Missouri and she is VERY happy with hers and I she says that she is within 6 miles or less of several towers.

If your HD-8008 TV Antenna power insert LED does not come on, you may have a short on your line.

The power insert has a surge/short detection so if you connect a cable to the power insert that has a short, or if there is a splitter on that line that is not a LAVA splitter, the light on the power insert will flash once, or turn off.

You can disconnect the power insert from everything completely, then only connect it to power, and the light should come back on if there is nothing connected to it.

Answer:	I have an existing DirecTV coax cable installed from about 8 years ago which went from the dish antenna to inside my house. Answer:	Yes, it can be mounted on a vertical surface. You will need to supply your own hardware. If you are looking to attach it to an existing metal fence pole, most of them are 3" in diameter. The u-bolt supplied is not wide enough. You can buy a 3" pipe clamp/strap from the local hardware store for less that $2 that will work. That is how I have mine mounted.

Answer:	I would connect it and move it around while someone watches signal strength on tv before mounting. Sometimes different building materials can affect it.

Answer:	The MS-3005 is an amplified antenna and requires power from the provided power inserter on the coax cable. When splitting signal that power inserter has to be installed between the splitter and the antenna for proper operation.

Question:	What exactly is it that gets plugged in to power and how long is that cord
Answer:	Pretty sure it has something to do with the amplification of the antenna. It is a small box that has a coaxial cable coming out of it to hook up to TV. Coaxial from antenna hooks up to this small box. The power cord coming from this box to plug into an outlet is probably 10 feet long. I am extremely pleased with the picture quality of this antenna so far.

Answer:	I do not have converter box either. The antenna is mounted on the house eve and the cable out of the antenna connected directly to TV (LG 2019 product) antenna/cable input port. It is working fine gets all local channels CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox, PBS.
