Question:	Is there anyway possible that you can make the cord longer that comes with the on and off Box
Answer:	You do not need to plug the box in that comes with the antenna. HOWEVER, here's what the box does. It takes marginal and low received signals and amplifies them for your TV receiver/tuner to get a better reception. So if you don't plug the unit in and turn up the gain, then you can expect to get less quality from channels and less channels. If you plug the gain box in then your utilizing the most that your antenna is capable. Also check to see if your tv has a signal strength meter. This will also help you to get the antenna in the sweet spot azimuth. I'm a professional California contractor installing systems like this.
Question:	how does the rotor work? does the cable to the antenna comprise of two conductors, one for signal and one for rotation
Answer:	Once you have the antenna hooked up, their should be a red light on the bottom of the antenna. If the red light isn't on that means your cable isn't hooked up right or you have a break in the cable somewhere. If you have the red light on then it's time to scan your TV and see how many channels you get. The best thing to do if you don't know where the broadcast towers are is to scan the TV with the antenna turned in multiple directions while scanning the TV after every time you rotate the antenna. So once you scan your TV on air channels, and you already found the best signal direction all you have to do is watch TV !!!!!!!! I scanned mine the first time I got 8ch then I turned it rescan an got 14ch turned it some more rescand the TV now I get 36 crystal clear channels

Answer:	Probably not, unless conditions are just right. You don't state whether the fox station operates on UHF or VHF, most digital stations are now UHF, however a few (usually the ones that were old stations when the switch to digital happened) are VHF and need an antenna "tuned" to both UHF and VHF, be cautious if it states it also receives FM as that can cause the antenna to perform poorly if there is a strong FM station between you and the tv station that you wish to view.

Question:	Live in hill country that is heavily tree'd southern tier of NY, anyone with any experience
Answer:	It will probably depend upon where your house is situated, on top of a hill, or blocked by the hills. Also how far are you from the nearest metro areas with OTA broadcast stations. I live in CNY about 15 miles SW of Syracuse. It's a hilly area and I'm on a hill with a valley and another hill between my house and Syr. I easily get all the Syr OTA stations. I also get stations from Rochester, Utica and Watertown with this antenna. What I can't address is the effect of being situated in a heavily treed area. My advice would be to get the antenna and the separate mounting pole and test it at your house. If it doesn't work, return it.

FSA 5809 is designed to receive terrestrial digital TV signals, which uses high-quality, low-noise MMIC design for digital terrestrial television weak signal environments. Antenna Connection

Our antenna is pre-assembled, this step will take under 5 minutes.

• Connect the antenna top to the antenna input of the control box using any coaxial cable.
• Plug the control box power supply into the wall. The control box is the device that you point your remote control at to make the antenna rotate. The control box is usually installed next to your TV set.
• Connect the control box to your digital TV or converter box if needed. Remember, only old style analog TVs need a converter box. Scan for available antenna channels using the add channels option on your TV or converter box.

Perform a Channel Scan

• Mount the antenna on your rooftop for optimal performance.
• Consult related instruction manual to SCAN the channels if you use a digital converter box
• Find the setting option on TV menu. Set up the signal source to AIR/Antenna.
• After you set up the signal source, go to Channel Scan or Channel Manage to scan the digital channels.

Several factors can limit reception range at your location. Some of these are mountainous and hilly terrain, obstructions in the signal path and metal construction materials.
