Answer:	The amplifier usually doesn't help reception. What it does is boost the available signal from the antenna to the receiving TV/outlets. I have a splitter with 8 drops from the indoor antenna (NOT this one...mine is an older DB2 model but it is likely it would work the same...providing a signal to many distant rooms) to the rooms in a 3000+ sq ft house. The antenna (in 2nd floor bedroom) is about 20 ft from the splitter input port (basement). From the splitter the lines go as far as 50'or more. The amplified signal provides rooms the over 30 channels (counting sub/side channels) that we get. Our house is on relatively high land with pretty good view of the broadcast towers. Works very well. Love it. Add things like Roku and Amazon Prime plus anything else you want to pay for...we don't have any more.

If your HD-8008 TV Antenna power insert LED does not come on, you may have a short on your line.

The power insert has a surge/short detection so if you connect a cable to the power insert that has a short, or if there is a splitter on that line that is not a LAVA splitter, the light on the power insert will flash once, or turn off.

You can disconnect the power insert from everything completely, then only connect it to power, and the light should come back on if there is nothing connected to it.

Answer:	Yes, on one pole I have a Clearstream 4 pointing one direction and a Clearstream 2 pointing another direction, both connected to a signal splitter in reverse (into the out connections), then into a signal booster and into the house. I did the same thing with two VHF antennas on another pole and I receive over 30 digital & HD channels without having to move the antenna rotor every time I change a channel. As we live in a valley between several broadcast antennas this was how I solved the problem and it works fine.

Answer:	The proper way to connect 2 separate antenna's is to purchase an antenna combiner made for purpose. This will eliminate Ghosting which is the liable result of reversing a splitter. It is also advisable to also use a pre-amp the best being a Televes which has 5G filtering. Personally I use a 3 antenna system with the 3rd being a VHF only ultra high gain from Stellar Labs. Previously I was receiving 19 stations, now 56 & Do Not believe the B/S advertisements suggesting 100/150/200 mile reception as terrestrial limitations limit actual rooftop systems to 60 to possible 70 miles but by using 30 feet towers or higher you can extend that range with high DB gain antenna's which are well made & not junk.
