Answer:	The VHF and UHF elements of the antenna are not in separate pieces. The elements are on both halves of the antenna. You'll need to assemble the complete antenna in order for it to work properly even if you only need to receive VHF signals.
Question:	Range on box of cm5016 says 60 miles in huge print, small side panel print says 30 miles, and website says 45 miles. so what gives with that
Answer:	The reception range varies with the terrain, surrounding buildings and position of the antenna. This is the main antenna we use use in our area. Installations vary from 35 to 80 miles. Majority average 50 to 60 miles. If the installation is in a valley with high hills, buildings, towers between the antenna and transmitter, the range will be toward the low end or may not even work. The longest installation is over 85 miles but it is on top a hill on a 35' tower. I don't recommend this be installed in an attic.

Answer:	Hello- The antenna is designed for VHF, FM, and UHF. The FM band is located between VHF channels 6 and 7 and nothing is needed but to put the antenna together. However, some of our preamplifiers have an 'FM Trap' feature that lowers the FM signals by about 20dB. If you purchase one of those preamplifiers, you would need to remove the 4 screws that hold the front panel on, and change the switch setting from 'IN' to 'OUT'. Then it will amplify the FM signals, right along with the VHF and UHF signals.

If your HD-8008 TV Antenna power insert LED does not come on, you may have a short on your line.

The power insert has a surge/short detection so if you connect a cable to the power insert that has a short, or if there is a splitter on that line that is not a LAVA splitter, the light on the power insert will flash once, or turn off.

You can disconnect the power insert from everything completely, then only connect it to power, and the light should come back on if there is nothing connected to it.

How Many Channels Will My TV Antenna Get?
