The above answer is NOT TRUE. Despite the warranty information above saying that you should contact Amazon for warranty claims, I contacted them for my battery that went bad within the 36 month period (less than 24) and they told me that they can not offer a refund or honor the warranty and that I had to contact the manufacturer. I responded that the PDF linked on the product description said to contact the online seller for warranty claims and got another reply saying that they will only refund within the 30day period. They are refusing to honor the warranty.

Answer:	If you find the Warranty and Support section for this item it will give you instructions to basically contact Amazon for warranty information. Optima's website also states the same thing in their "Warranty Guide Manual" unless you buy from Optima directly. It is important to note this item is sold from and shipped by Amazon and not a third party. I also called Amazon and they confirmed to me that in the case the battery fails within the 36 month period from purchase date, I would need to go through Amazon for the warranty. I just want to note that when I spoke to Amazon Customer Service, they were really helpful and polite. I normally call customer service (in most online purchases I do with most retailers) and talk to two different people to see if their answers match and in this case, it did. Make sure to keep the original purchase receipt as this will be used to determine when the 36 month warranty starts. Amazon told me they would send a return document by email that would be used to tape on the outside of the box and information to place on the inside of the box with the returned item. I asked about how I was to ship back a 40 pound battery, etc. with proper packaging and that just led into further discussion about whether or not the battery would be considered hazardous material so you may or may not have to ship the item back at the purchaser's expense. This was the only non-straight answer I received. So basically, you may or may not have to send the failed item back. Amazon also stated they may either choose to do a refund or pursue the warranty return.The warranty period upon when you receive your replacement will continue on from only the 36 month period from original purchase date (i.e. if the battery fails in 12 months after purchase and you receive a replacement you only have 24 months left of warranty of the replaced battery). However, this is how most warranties work anyways. Again, this item is sold and shipped by Amazon.com and not a third party so Amazon is who you would contact per the warranty instructions.Below is what the Warranty and Support section for this item states:Warranty, Parts: Optima warrants to the original purchaser that this battery is free of defects in material and workmanship for a 36 month replacement period when shipped and sold by Amazon.com. Answer:	I had one....don’t waste your money....I’ll never buy another one....they don’t last any longer than a conventional battery. Plus you need a special battery charger and if it goes to low there is a special charging procedure involving another good battery......

Answer:	I have purchased about 10 optima batteries over the last 20 years - they all were charged and ready to go as received.

Answer:	Well you can answer that yourself, go measure the battery area of the Lexus and match it up to the dimensions shown for this battery. It is approximately the same size as the Red Top. Covering the battery area of the car should not be the measure of a battery replacement it should be the Cranking Amps and Rating of the battery.

Answer:	Do not buy this or anything associated with that company. I own a 16 foot box truck. I bought the yellow top. I would literally start up my truck a couple of times a week. the battery would be drained and I would have to recharge it every week. the people at Optima batteries told me that unless I actually drove the box truck over 30 miles per hour every day that the battery would be drained. After a while I literally couldn't recharge the battery at all. I ended up going to Walmart and purchasing a battery. I did the exact same thing with my truck and it has been over a year and a half and I have not had a problem. Optima battery is the most god-awful battery you could ever buy. don't be fooled by the gel batteries.
