Answer:	I started out with my first pair of these oh-so-long-ago as in over at least 12+ years ago. I bought them from a surf shop & they were much more money than they are from here! Some reviews say the one they got from this seller weren't authentic but I've purchased 3 different times from them & they were def. authentic. As far as the bottom material goes it is neither hard nor soft. They are not squishy like a flip flop so they didn't get that formation that your foot leaves after wearing them over & over. Yet, they don't feel hard. They kinda feel like a cork material. They are super comfortable and I am disabled & it's difficult for me to find comfortable no heel sandals but these are a winner for me😊. The rose gold color is very pretty & subdued in case you're looking for a sort of nude color. I know I wrote alot but I really hope this helps.
