Question:	The sizes have a (M) - does this mean men's size
Answer:	Weight is subjective...depends on size. I wear size 14 and I'm sure they weight twice as much as a small mans size. I shopped in a store before buying and compared these to a number of other brands and they are among the lighter weight boots among of the better brands. I found some inexpensive brands that were much lighter but not very good quality. They are not so heavy as to feel weighted. They are not as stiff as I anticipated them to be either.

Answer:	YES！The length of my foot is 27.5cm, i chose 10.5, alought the shoe size is a littler bit large, but it prove the size chart is true. i think 10 is perfect fit to my foot's size.

Answer:	Timberland White Ledge boots are not insulated and so are not particularly warm in and of themselves. However, because they're mostly leather with few seams, they are very waterproof (many boots claim to be waterproof but are not--too many seams and non-leather parts) and keep your feet dry which helps keep them comfortable. You can buy insulated boots, but unless you're like my sister-in-law (her feet are always cold), they will be too warm in the summer. I much prefer to wear a non-insulated boot and then make them feel warmer/cooler by wearing wool socks in winter and cotton socks in summer. As long as your feet stay dry and you have good moisture-wicking wool socks, this sock method works for me in the winter. Make sure there's enough room in the boots for thicker wool socks--cramped feet will always feel cold.

Answer:	Yes, it works on snow. It is the very first shot boot I ever have. And if you notice I use "IS" not "WAS", because I am still wearing it now, since 2004. It is 15 years already. I only use it in winter time and raining day when the weather condition will not be safe with regular sneakers. I use this boot as snow day shoes in each year, for 15 years now, and the shoe is still in very good condition. I am thinking to get a second pair in different color now. BUT, I will not give this boot a 5 -star rating due to the very poor design of the show lace. For no reason, this round shoe lace constantly got loose when I was walking. After many years' upset with the original round shoe lace, I replaced it with regular flat shoe lace and it works very well now. Therefore, I suggest you also get a regular flat shoe lace ready when the round lace is not properly holding up, so you can just replace it.

Answer:	Yes, I would say they are really wide. I ordered the “regular” size 7 1/2 and mine have loads of room in the toes. They will accommodate warm thick socks comfortably. Therefore the wide should fit you well

Answer:	I have wide feet and got these in 10 wide and they’ve been perfect. I walk miles a day as a dog walker and they’re the best shoes I’ve found. I’m a C width, though, so they might be tight on a D width foot.

I'm not sure about the summer, though. They may make your feet sweat, which would not be good.

Answer:	I've found them to be true to size, but run a tiny bit more narrow than I'm used to. Good quality, comfortable shoe, otherwise.

Answer:	I bought an 11 women's and they were too short. My toe hit the end. I wear a consistent size 11 except in Nike. They run small and I get an 11.5. I had to return these and purchas a men's 9.5 because apparently keen doesn't make larger than an 11? That made me sad because I now have the ugly men's brown color instead of the lime green I wanted. I did have a store clerk tell me that keen sizes aren't consistent across all shoe styles. I can attest to that, because I have an 11 bern baby bern style keen boot that fits like a glove.

Answer:	I have many pairs of the merrell shoes. I have found that they are waterproof , until you put them on when they are still wet on the outside. It somehow makes the waterproofing fail. for me anyway. As long as I completely dry them before wearing them again, they stay waterproof for a long long time. I put my shoes on the heat vent or radiator when wet so they completely dry before putting them on again.

Answer:	Merrell makes a version of the Moab 2 that is NOT waterproof but is the same style and construction as the waterproof style. I suspect that the customer who said that their shoes were not waterproof bought the shoes w/o waterproofing and thought they were getting waterproof shoes so their review was likely about the wrong product :)
Question:	Is the M select more breathable and flexible than gore tex? Have a pair of merrell with goretex and too stiff and hot
Answer:	I have both the waterproof and the gore tex, and many pairs of each. I have found the 'waterproof' ones are hot and keep my feet hot and sweaty, where the gore tex breathe much better and keep my feet dry so much better. it is worth buying gore tex even though they cost a little more.
Question:	Do these have good arch support
Answer:	They do for my feet. I typically wear additional inserts for arch support and I do not need it on these shoes.

Answer:	I love this shoe - and I have tried a lot of hiking shoes - this one is great. The toe box is roomy - a priority for me. I have hike some steep hills and your foot does not slide in the shoe - but you have to make sure you lace them properly.

Answer:	Yes they do. I'm on trails early every morning and get soaked from the dew. I live in Oklahoma where the heat index is currently 110 and they do dry quickly.

Answer:	I hiked after a rainstorm so it was muddy and while it was raining and the shoes not only had great traction while scrambling on rocks downhill, my feet never felt wet.

Answer:	I love the Keen hiking boots, no breaking in period and they have good support. I wore mine hiking around New Hampshire in 90 degree weather, no issues!
Question:	Do these keen shoes have a wide toe box? what platform are they built on, the targhee? the voyager? what shoe platform is the same as these
Answer:	The Steens are built on the same platform as the Oakridge. They will have our original KEEN fit, so wide in the toe box, though not as wide as the Targhee or Voyageur as those are the widest fitting shoes we have.

Question:	Are these non marking soles. Want to know if they can be worn on a boat without leaving black marks
Answer:	I don't know about a boat, but I tried to make marks on a number of wood surfaces...painted and stained. There was never a mark when I rubbed many parts of the sole on the surfaces.

Question:	Do these shoes have any arch support? I have high arches so I am looking for arch support
Answer:	Zero arch support. Wish they did. I had to insert orthotics to make them wearable. Hard to find any w/o deep heel cups tho.
Question:	Others said the non-adjustible strap is too tight at first fitting. Does it loosen up
Answer:	I find the non-adjustable strap too tight. I love these sandals and forced myself to wear them all last summer, thinking maybe they would stretch. They did not. I was thinking about ordering a size up, but don't think it would make a difference.

Answer:	I would call it taupe. There’s a hint of purple.

Answer:	JT: Yes, they come in a wide width. I got mine in wide, and they are great. I no longer have rubbing on the sides of my feet when I run.

Answer:	The shoe is mostly dark gray but the sole and wave are a dark pink shade. I hate pink but I love this shoe and it is mainly dark gray.

Answer:	No I don’t think so. But I find them extremely supportive. I can wear all day walking and my feet feel great. Love these shoes.

Answer:	I haven't had any trouble with the toe box rubbing my toes.
Question:	Does this have merrell air cushion in the heel absorbs shock and adds stability as in mqm flex 2 by merrill
Answer:	Hi, there is some air cushioning and absorbs shock well. Excellent in stabilizing and support for heel as well as the arch. I pronate and it helps balance my pronation through my arch and heel. The flex 2 has less support. The siren edge 3 Hiking cost a little more but it really worth buying.
