SRA #135 is a petrolatum-based soldering flux, containing Rosin and organic acid activator. Unlike many paste fluxes, it contains NO Zinc Chloride or Ammonium Chloride, making it ideal for electrical and electronic repairs. The Rosin also leaves a protective coating over the soldered area that can prevent corrosion.

Why Use Flux?

In order for solder to do its job, the layer of oxides on the metal surfaces you're soldering must be removed. A good flux, like #135, removes the oxides and sets the stage for soldering. The solder follows the flux, as if the flux were clearing a path for the solder and telling it where it to go. For many soldering applications, using only flux-core solder wire is sufficient. However, there are benefits of adding an externally applied flux such SRA #135, these benefits include:

Prep Surfaces

Prep the surfaces by removing any dirt, rust, grease, paint, and other contaminants with sandpaper, wire brush, steel wool, etc. For many applications, the residues can be removed with just a rag and some isopropyl alcohol. These impurities may prevent solder flow so it is important not to proceed until clean metal is visible.

Choose an Applicator

Various tools can be used as an applicator for the flux including toothpicks, acid brushes and spatulas. Wires and components can simply be dipped as well. One of the benefits of paste flux opposed to liquid is that it will stay put wherever you apply it.

Apply the Flux Paste

Using your applicator of choice, apply the flux to the target areas you are about to solder. The exact amount applied will depend on the job but in general use just enough to cover the area to be soldered in an even coating. Remember that the solder will flow to where the flux is so make sure to apply only where it is needed to prevent solder bridges and mess.

Apply Heat and Solder

Apply heat using a soldering iron or hot air gun to bring to melting temperature and solder. Remove heat and allow to cool. Remove residue with rag if wanted.

GAS/OIL, GEO thermal, ELECTRIC /HEAT PUMP, as well as Dual Fuel (Hybrid Heat) gas furnace as aux heat paired with a heat pump as primary heat source... There are addition terminals for an outdoor temp sensor. As well as aux terminals that can be used to control a humidifier..... Infact, the only way to use these on a communicating system is with Trane equipment module communicating RELAY

Virginia Peanut Brittle with sorghum

My grandmother Noyes’s 'Welcome to North Carolina' gesture during my summer visits there was to let me help her make peanut brittle on the stovetop. My first job as a youngster was to simply stir, though she ultimately taught me and trusted me with every step of the process.

Whenever we need peanuts for a recipe, we grab a tin of Belmont Peanuts off our own retail shelves. Grown and roasted by Patsy Marks and her family on their farm in Capon, Virginia, just above the North Carolina border, they have a bold buttery flavor and an underlying savory sensibility. The Virginia variety is the largest type of peanut, so they add a satisfying crunch to complement the brittle’s crackle.

Recipe

Line a 9 x 12-inch baking sheet with foil and lightly coat the foil with nonstick spray. Coat a metal offset spatula with nonstick spray.

In a large saucepan fitted with a candy thermometer (if you have one), melt the butter over low heat.

Increase the heat to medium and add the sugar, sorghum syrup, corn syrup, and baking soda. Cook, stirring continuously with a wooden spoon, until deep golden brown, at least 10 minutes. Continue cooking until the mixture reaches 300°F on the candy thermometer, then remove the pan from the heat. (Alternatively, use a spoon to scoop up a bit of the mixture and dip it in a cup of cold water

When it hardens, remove the pan from the heat.)

Quickly add the peanuts to the hot mixture and stir with a wooden spoon until combined. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan, quickly spreading it into an even layer with the prepared offset spatula. Let cool for 30 minutes, then break the brittle into large pieces. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.

Cinnamon Rolls

This perfect little batch of cinnamon rolls can be made with just an 8-inch pan. Be sure to ice these as soon as they come out of the oven so the cream cheese icing melts into the warm rolls.

Hazelnut, Chocolate, and Caramel Tart

This decadent dessert (with a no-bake filling) yields just 6 slices and can be made in a standard 8-inch baking pan.

Preface

My very first real chef job in the early 1990s was in a charming little restaurant located in an old farmhouse on a rural highway in Ontario, Canada. I was the “morning and lunch chef,” and my job included baking all the bread, rolls, and desserts for service. This meant arriving at 4 a.m. five days a week and working solo until the rest of the staff meandered in at 9:30 a.m. I required all that extra time because I kneaded all the dough by hand—and that takes a long time. So, I gathered my ingredients, put a suitably rocking ’80s song on the boom box, and got to work. I can tell you that kneading bread dough is hard work—and excellent therapy if your life isn’t going well. You push and pummel, using every muscle in your shoulders, arms, forearms, and fingers to get the perfect texture. When you stretch it between your fingers, it is translucent. This is called the windowpane test, although at the time I didn’t know it had a name.

Bread Demystified

Let’s consider the term “artisan bread.” There is no real definition or regulation in a culinary sense of what “artisan” means, just a vague idea of what people think it should mean. For some, the term signifies strict ingredients and procedures. Serious artisan bread bakers might use only four ingredients—flour, water, salt, and yeast and not ordinary yeast or flour, only wild yeast (page 27) and hand-milled flours. Then, the bread is baked in a handmade oven or specialty oven of some sort to mimic ancient techniques. The commitment to this version of “artisan” is commendable and the bread produced is unique, but for most home bakers, this process is not feasible.

All About Bread

When you pick up a loaf of store-bought bread in its paper or plastic packaging, you might not realize the process that goes into its creation. Bread requires planning, time, and patience as well as chemical and biological reactions to produce a lovely tempting loaf. Every step has a purpose and skipping any one can mean disappointment in the end. Understanding the breadmaking process will give you an appreciation for the effort required to produce perfect loaves consistently. Some of these steps will occur in the bread machine, but many happen after removing the dough from the buckets.

Traditional Loaves

For the sake of comprehensive information, the process described here will be for creating bread from start to finish in the machine, even though for the purposes of this book, most recipes use only the dough program. Generally, a bread machine does similar tasks to what a person making bread would do— without all the mixing, kneading, and mess. The only thought that has to go into a loaf of bread made entirely in the machine is the amount and order of ingredients. Follow the recipes carefully, or the manufacturer’s recommended order of ingredients, for best results. For example, don’t mix yeast with salt in the liquid ingredients, or your results will not be as intended (or expected!).

Classic Crusty Loaves

Do not let the length of this recipe scare you; the results are worth it. Baking perfect baguettes is a culinary triumph that seasoned chefs work to achieve. The trick to creating the signature baguette shape is in the folding, pressing the dough hard to seal it together and creating the overlapping dough that opens up when baked. If the dough shrinks too much when you are rolling it into cylinders, let it rest for a few minutes to let the gluten relax and try again.

Sourdough Breads

I did not attempt to make bagels until I had about five years as a professional chef under my belt, and I regret waiting that long. For some reason, this bread intimidated me with its forming, rising, boiling, topping, and baking. Little did I know how simple the process really is once you know how to do it. Take the time to read the steps before starting (you should do this with any recipe) so you understand the timing and techniques. Soon, you will have trays of bagels rising all over your kitchen, and you will never buy a bagel again.

Sweet Breads

Brioche is a charming tender-crumbed bread whose name sounds like something enjoyed on a warm spring day sitting on a French patio sipping le chocolat chaud or rich coffee. Brioche is an enriched bread, packed with butter and eggs, so it has a lovely golden hue and spectacular slightly sweet taste. If you do not have time, you can make this bread entirely in the bread machine, omit the egg wash ingredients and set the machine to Basic and Light crust.

Flatbreads, Rolls, and Bagels

Don’t confuse these crisp breadsticks with the awful packaged dryas-dust ones that sometimes show up in restaurants. Grissini is more like the crisp edges of a perfectly baked pizza without the toppings. Serve them alongside a tasty dip or on an antipasto platter to impress guests and family. You can sprinkle them with dried herbs or Parmesan cheese instead of sesame seeds for a different flavor.

Seed, Nut, and Fruit Breads

Barmbrack comes from the Irish bairín breac: Bairín means a loaf and breac means speckled (here, raisins), so, a speckled loaf. This is one of my favorite breads. The scent of the rising dough is enough to draw others into the kitchen for a peek! When testing bread recipes, I often make the bread; test the texture, color, and taste; then discard the loaf because no one needs twenty deliciously warm loaves of bread in the house. But, this bread was consumed down to the last crumb by my teenage boys and husband—and one of them doesn’t even like raisin bread.

Herb Breads, Cheese Breads, and Other Flavored Breads

There is some truly spectacular bread in this book for your baking adventures, but this unassuming loaf is one of my absolute favorites. As a chef, I have an obsession with herbs—both their culinary and medicinal applications. So, a sweet, buttery, tender loaf of bread brimming with the taste and scent of herbs is perfection. I like using thyme, basil, and tarragon.

Utopia or Deuteranopia

Thanatophobia

Aeon and Trevor play with two peoples life, Sybil and Onan, who are a couple trying to get to Monica, where it has more freedom. They are currently in Brenga, in which Trevor runs. When they both try to escape Onan is successful but Sybil is not. She breaks one of her spinal column and keeping her from falling apart or upright, she needs a device in which Trevor provides. Sybil decides she had enough of Aeon, Trevor and Onan and decides to try her jump into Monica again. Only to see a new device, that she help make, was planted there, cutting her legs off instead.

A Last Time For Everything

Aeon teams up with a double agent named Scafandra, who has hands on her feet. Trevor manages to create a cloning device and he manages to clone Aeon. Aeon then, we think, switch places with her clone but Trevor knows this. The "real" Aeon falls for Trevor, the "clone" Aeon tries to carry on. In the end things get too complicated to explain to the clone and the real Aeon allows herself to get killed as the "clone" runs away.

Ether Drift Theory

Aeon decides to help someone named Lindze, who is trying to get to Bargeld, the man she loves. Who was working with Trevor in a lab somewhere in the middle of a fluid. The fluid puts you in suspend. Bargeld managed to find a "cure" for the fluid, turning it to water. In the end things get complicated and Aeon gets taken over by the fluid as the lab surroundings decays.

The Purge

Aeon tries to stop a criminal named Bambara. Trevor has a new robot looking thing, called the custodian that gives you a conscience. It enters in though your naval. Aeon teams up with a group of people wanting to stop Trevor as well.

The Demiurge

Aeon is afraid of a thing that Trevor managed to acquire. This things acts as a god with peaceful intentions but Aeon wants to destroy it.

Isthmus Crypticus

Aeon is trying to free two bird like creatures (a male and female). The thing is Trevor feels for the female one but she ends up dying. The male on the other hand ends up with Aeon's friend Una, as they soar into the sky.

Reraizure

There is a creature called Narghile that produces a pellet that erases human memories. Rorty and Muriel vows to get rid of these creatures by launching them into the sun. Muriel ends up dying and Aeon, out of guilt, takes her place as Rorty and her try to finish it out. Rorty finds out (from Aeon) that Muriel was cheating on him with Trevor, which he doesn't believe at first. He gets proof himself and can't deal with it. So, he takes the pellet erasing all of his human memories about Aeon, the pellet and Muriel.

Chronophasia

Aeon is caught in a time loop, in a lab in the jungle somewhere. The reason she was going to the lab was, she was planning to save a test subject but go more than she bargined for. She encounters a little boy, who seems to be the cause of all of this. He wants her, but not in a sexual way, in a motherly figure way. We end the episode, as if they are in another dimesion (in the past) as Aeon drives this little boy (presumbaly her son) to baseball practice.

End Sinister

Trevor encounters a device that could wipe out the entire world but Aeon stops him. They both encounter an alien in which Trevor is very interested in. Trevor decides to go back with the alien to their planet and Aeon decides to wait for him, (Trevor) in the very same pod the alien had travel in. Years, (presumably hundreds) past and Aeon wakes up. She notices that the "aliens" had taken over earth and that Trevor is still alive. She then uses the device, (from the beginning) killing the entire race. What Aeon later finds out is that these alien creatures were actually humans. We end as the final words are spoken by Trevor, "It's the evolution of the revolution... may the best man win.

Answer:	My welder didn't come with a 2 lb. spool adapter so I fabricated one. I used a short length of 2" schedule 40 pipe over the spindle and welded a piece of 1-1/2" flat bar to the 2" pipe. To carry the 2 pound spool I welded a piece of 5/8" shaft stock to the flat bar and a short piece of 1/8" pipe to the bottom end of the flat bar to prevent the mechanism from rotating when the wire being unspooled by the drive motor. The shaft has a drilled and tapped hole for a 5/16"-24 cap screw and fender washer to retain the spool on the shaft. I also used a 5/8" rubber grommet with 9/16" flat washers of various thickness to apply moderate drag on the spool to prevent unwinding without overloading the drive mechanism. The only concern is the flat bar must be cut short enough to allow it to fit through the opening while simultaneous sliding onto the existing spindle. The existing spindle then has no other function other than to hold my fabricated adapter. This solution is working great for me. I have photos but there are no provisions to upload them in this reply.
