Answer:	No. My foot measurement does not require a wide size when I make purchases. If I do purchase a wide shoe, it is because no other options were available. I do not consider myself having an unusually narrow foot, therefore, in my opinion, these boots do not run narrow. I can wear very thick socks and the boot is still a comfortable fit.

Answer:	Yes, M does refer to the Medium width. I disagree with Kelli, though, when it comes to the “Premium” comparison. Yes, there is a steel-toe version of this Pro boot, but the “Premium” is another Timberland boot entirely. I own both and here are the differences: —Tongue: The Premium has a single piece of leather while the Pro has a leather exterior with padded cloth interior. —Lining: Both boots offer 200g of insulation. The Premium has cloth lining in the toe half and leather lining in the heel half. The Pro has a cloth lining throughout. —Width: The Premium is a bit more slim-fitting than the Pro. I happen to prefer a 9W in the Premium and a 9.5M in the Pro. —Laces: The Premium has thinner laces that are not as easy to tighten or keep tied. —Cushion: The Premium is less cushioned than the Pro. This is particularly true since the Premium has a stiff rubber-like midsole and the Pro has a foam one. —Tread: The Pro has thicker tread aka deeper lugs. —Weight: The Pro is a lighter boot. Answer:	I wear a 6.5-7 depending on the shoe. I don’t like squished toes. I went with the 7. Perfect for. Wear them around a lot at first to get used to the 6” heel, but doesn’t take long. I wear mine 12hrs a day working on my feet. Once you get used to them you will never wear another brand. I bought 5 pairs at their outlet store!!!

Answer:	I have worn them through fairly deep puddles and have found them to be waterproof. I have not yet worn these higher (and better lined) boots through puddles for a long distance, but have worn them for a few hours walking outside and stayed dry. I don't know if you mean hiking for a long distance because I haven't done that. You may want to wear warmer socks if you're doing that because the rubber soles can make the foot bottom feel a little chilly - but it will not get wet! I've sworn by Timberland for many years and they still remain my favorite winter boot - and I have tried others.

Answer:	They do not have any fuzzy lining or Thinsulate for warmth. I do not find them warm enough for winter even with padded wool socks . When wearing them my toes get cold when temperature drops into the 30's.Even the 40's. My feet do get cold pretty easily so they might work for you if yours do not.They are wonderful,comfortable boots but not for the coldest winter days..
Question:	I typically wear a boys 4.5 but need the steel toe to be covered by work. Would a size 6 be the equivalent
Answer:	I build custom orthotics. The boot can handle an orthotic that is the same thickness as the insole you remove. Any thicker in the toe or heel would make the boot too tight. You can have a higher arch in the orthosis, but remember that a higher arch raises your foot and it might make the boot tighter. I always get boots 1/2 size up and a size wider to accommodate my orthotics. It only adds 1/4 " to the shoe and is so much more comfortable.

Answer:	I wear these boots on a farm with ordinary thickness socks in temperatures not quite 100 degrees F and have never had an issue. I have never actually "hiked" in them, but have spent hours walking and crouching so wouldn't imagine they would be too hot.

In 1973 our original waterproof boots called the “Timberland” were invented. They were rugged, well-crafted, and—thanks to an innovative injection molding technique which was new to the footwear industry—they withstood the elements. These premium “yellow” boots set new standards for waterproof performance in the footwear industry. They became equally popular with outdoor enthusiasts who needed protection in all conditions, professional trade workers who needed rugged dependable gear, and many others who just wanted a great looking pair of boots. These boots defined our brand. They were so groundbreaking that in 1978 we renamed the entire company.
