Answer:	I went in a hike up in Oregon for about almost 2 hrs. They held up great. That’s the last time I wore them. They are still in great condition.

Answer:	I am sure if you walked through stream above the ankle, water would enter somewhere. By and large they are waterproof for walking in snow, water puddles and rain. I really like these for many reasons. The tread is solid for all terrain hiking and they are very light weight. I wear them when I need extra traction on snow and ice. When they do get wet, they dry very quickly without stinking.

Answer:	The soles are not removable but the support is great they don't feel like you have much on and I have worn them all day hiking. They are more comfy then my tennis shoes.

Answer:	They fit true. I wear 7.5 or 8, I ordered 7.5 and they fit perfectly. They are comfortable, but the holes in the sole go all the way through. I bought light weight shoe inserts and I love the shoes even more.
