Question: | I’m a size 12 will this fit me |
Answer: | All I can tell you is that I normally wear a 7 1/2 and I had to get an 8. So if I were you, I'd get an 8 1/2! |
Question: | what is the arch support like on these? Is there strong internal support structurally |
Answer: | As a fellow guy, I have three pairs of these. I absolutely love them! The only ‘weirdness’ in this situation was the wife’s original response. She, however, has finally learned that I wear the sneakers that I like, not the ones that I am “told to “! |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does the liner come out |
Answer: | It has very decent support, I also have flat feet and almost exclusively wear walking shoes. I find these incredibly comfortable! |
Question: | I bought these n gray but the laces shredded were can i get some laces |
Answer: | I just tried on a pair of these in a store, to see what size I needed since I haven't tried this brand yet. I normally buy 10 in athletic shoes. But the 10 in this was too snug and my toe hit the end of the shoe...11 was too big and my foot was swimming in them. So I came to Amazon to order the 10.5 since I can't find the 1\2 size in a local store. |
Question: | How are these shoes as for comfort, i do alot of walking and lifting through out the day in a sped classroom? thanks |
Answer: | I got a new treadmill and suddenly developed pain for the first time ever, in one of my knees out of the blue. I thought perhaps my old shoes were breaking down and needed replacement and perhaps the new treadmill was less shock absorbent than my other one. Felt that same knee pain begin shortly into my outdoor (black asphalt) greenway walk longside a river which rolls up and down with the natural terrain. So I gave the knee a rest from my 5-7 days a week 2mi. powerwalks and ordered these shoes. For whatever the reasons, after resting the knee and wearing these shoes - no more knee pain. I was even able to pick up the pace and incrementally raise my treadmill walking speed to a brisker pace - 3.4 to 3.7. I feel these shoes provided the support, increased shock asorbency and protection I needed to lessen overall stress on my knees. I'm about to turn 65, no Rx meds, no knee, hip problems or joint pain & still going strong! |
Question: | Most ryka shoes run small for me. i will order wide as i always do ! do the length run normal or should i order up a size. i do wear socks |
Answer: | They run small. Since they offer 1/2 sizes, I suggest ordering a 1/2 size larger than normal. Wish I had done that. Returned but did not rebuy because the price increased. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Do they run true to size |
Answer: | The color is grey and blue . The blue is not a solid blue it’s more of a silver blue, the blue color has a sheen to it. But it still looks very nice! |
Question: | Would these be OK for a walking shoe |
Answer: | I have very flat feet and these shoes are a dream. I didn't even have to use my orthotics. The insoles it came with work great. They are light, well cushioned, and very supportive. I won't go back to my more expensive new balance. Highly recommend |
Question: | I have a wide foot. Do these shoes run wide and/or long? Trying to decide between a 7 or 7 1/2 c/d. Thanks for your input |
Answer: | The main difference is just more firmness to the shoe...it holds your foot better, the part that comes up and around your ankle is higher than the 2, and it just feels like it's holding your foot in, so there is a foundation in the shoe itself and you can feel it just by handling it. It doesn't collapse when you scrunch it. I bought the other one 1st......and now I can't wear it at all, because I need a "solid firm fit", so the 3 is firmer. |
Question: | Aside from the pivot circle, how or why are these better than good supportive sneakers like Saucony? Anything else making them special for zumba |
Answer: | Yes. I have orthopedic prescribed insoles to relieve Morton's Neuroma, I pull out the existing inner sole, and insert the orthopedic one, no problem. For Morton's, I did move to the Wide Shoe, at the advice of my foot doctor. They are readily available in the RYKA line. Such a plus for a shoe company. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Do these tend to run on the larger or smaller size ? I usually wear an |
Answer: | Yes, I find they have very good arch support |
Question: | Are these pull on or can you tie laces |
Answer: | B is a narrow width; D is a medium/normal width; E is a wide width...I’ve personally never heard of a C width so, I’d recon that the company is stating that the shoe fit feels like something between a narrow and medium width. |

User questions & answers
Question: | I need a wide toe box but the rest of my foot isn't wide. Will this work |
Answer: | I have a wide foot too. but I also like toe room in my shoes for those high impact workouts. I ordered these and I felt they were short and not truly a wide. The outer edge seemed to turn in sooner making the pinky toe uncomfy. |
Question: | Does 10 mean 10B |
Answer: | Hi,Sorry for the late reply. I have a Saucony which I used for Zumba before I bought the Ryka. I find it more difficult to do moves like turning, twisting and pivoting. There are times when I almost tripped. Maybe it's just me. After I bought the Ryka, recommended by my Zumba instructor, I do not encounter such problem anymore. From my understanding, Ryka shoe base has a circle at the ball of the feet which helps you to turn, twist or pivot much easier & smoother. I personally find that it fit my feet well and has more cushioning than my Saucony. This makes wearing them comfortable. Hope this helps. |
Question: | Are the wide a true wide? I need the wide in toe bed! Thank you |
Answer: | Yes. I took the inserts out to place orthortics in. Make sure to order wide unless you have narrow feet. |
Question: | What shoes are available in xtra wide |
Answer: | i would think that you could contact Ryka but if that does not work you could check stores that sell shoes. Also Walmart sells shoe laces as do some shoe repair shops. |

User questions & answers
Question: | How do sizes run |
Answer: | I have had these shoes for three months with no problem so not sure about how to exchange |
Question: | Is the liner removable and does it have a deep toe box to accommodate bulky custom orthotics |
Answer: | I haven't washed mine yet but I would just throw them in the washer with air dry. I work in an outpatient surgery center and I bought mine for work. They stay at work when I'm not wearing them and when I do work, they are covered with shoe covers. |
Question: | which part of this shoe can not pass ca. prop |
Answer: | I feel like it has good arch support. For my feet everything feels hugged and supported. My knees seem to like the arch support as well. I have pretty average feet with mild pronation. |
Question: | Anyone used these for distance walking? I need shoes that have enough cushion, support and heel-toe "return" for 9 mile walks |
Answer: | Lace up. Truly awesome shoes. I am difficult to fit and end up returning five pair for everyone I keep. These were so great I ordered another pair. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Arrived with a terrible odor. have tried airing them out outdoors but they still smell. Anyone else have this problem |
Answer: | I've worn Rykas for almost 12 years and all of the styles I've worn have a wide toe box and narrower heel. One caution though.... this style has a memory foam insole so it feels like there's absolutely NO cushioning when you walk! (because the foam squsishes down under your feet when you stand up....) |
Question: | What color is moonlight |
Answer: | No, as far as I can tell, a B would be called a wide. I bought a 9 wide or (W). 10 would be a regular 10, not A or B. |
Question: | Are these warmer than regular sky walk Rykas |
Answer: | Yes, these shoes are a true wide. I also need the toe bed space, and these work well. |
Question: | does this shoe hold your foot in place |
Answer: | Eastland leather shoes |
