| Answer: | The listing doesn't have a good comparison between the US and metric sizes. It's not an either\or. The 36\37 is a metric size, based upon the length of the shoe. The 37 is 1 cm longer than the 36. Two things to keep in mind - 1. These shoes are considered to fit a bit small. 2. More to the point, cycling shoes are SUPPOSED to be a bit "small", at least in comparison to running shoes. Those are normally worn "roomy", or at least 1/2 size larger than a dress shoe. For cycling shoes use your dress shoe size. They should fit snug, but not with your toes jammed into the end. If there is extra room, your foot can move, which translates into both discomfort (or hot spots) as well as a loss of power transfer. Hope that helps. 3. And also, US sizes make no sense - metric is clear, and the US would be better without the ridiculous mens\women's size dichotomy. At least with the metric sizes, a 37 is a 37, mens or womens. :-) |

| Answer: | I don't think so. As pictured, these shoes have a 3-bolt pattern. SPD pedals fit a 2-bolt pattern. The Shimano name for the 3-hole road pattern is SPD-SL. My lack of certainty is because I am not sure this question and answer will be attached to the right product. Anyway, you can see for yourself if the shoes pictured have 3 holds on the bottom. The 2-hole pattern usually looks like 2 slots with 2 holes each, so it looks like 4 bolts, but you only use 2 at a time, there are more there so it is easier to place the cleats appropriately for your fit. |
