Answer:	YES. I have. It worked. Conditions - 50F, windy, 2PM CST very early April (sun almost at zenith, waiting until out of cloud cover) Remember, this takes several key things: 1. Patience, patience, more patience 2. The very best tinder you can find - I used: fluffed, flattened cotton ball (fibers very exposed), fatwood dust and shavings, crushed leaves on a bed of dry leaves, stems, and toothpick dry twigs. 3. Steady hand for focus... the Fresnel is more difficult to focus than a traditional 2" or 3" glass lens (I prefer the glass for sure), it really takes concentration 4. More patience. After a few minutes getting focus and actually shielding from some of the wind that could/did steal away tinder and heat of combustion, after a few minutes fiddling, with fine tuning the angle and watching the smoke curling from the pile of tinder, the pile burst into flames. I was focusing the sun onto a juncture of cotton, leaf, and fatwood particles. I'm sure the breezy conditions actually waned enough to help rather than hinder the combustion at that moment. Didn't try char-cloth, which is another recommended, traditional starting ember-medium for using a lens, then gently blowing the "birds nest" to flame. Bottom line, this does work, it just takes more patience and perseverance than the more traditional glass lens plus the right tinder. Too many folks may try to ignite paper or a leaf - not going to happen; this isn't a BIC. Even using a ferrocerium rod you need a good tinder pile to easily capture the hot spark (I use fatwood dust and curls on fluffed, flattened cotton balls that have Petroleum jelly squished inside).

Jewelry Care

Use a soft cloth to clean the jewelry. Keep the jewelry dry and away from water, chlorine, chemicals or sweat. Place in a sealed bag or container when not wearing the jewelry.

Packaging

Full-sized greeting cards come in a thick semi-transparent PP button envelope to protect the card and paper envelope. Flat jewelry is packaged in a velveteen bag lined with satin. Jewelry is packed in a plastic bag to avoid oxidation with will tarnish some metals like silver. Rigid items are placed in a separate button bag with the envelope inside, generally, within a box or larger velvet bag. Wallet-sized cards are generally in a window box with the jewelry.

Having to Say Goodbye

During a cancer scare, I felt it was important to write letters to my children in case I didn't survive. I couldn’t accomplish the letters at the time. At the time, saying goodbye felt like giving in to cancer and giving up hope. Later, I became a life coach with a specialty of end-of-life coaching. After working with clients to write love letters to their families, I learned that they had the same paralysis of words that I did.

Love Letters to the Family

With some deep reflection, I called upon my love for writing and design. After hours of emotional writing, I finally wrote my letters to my friends and family. Many of the letters are now Smiling Wisdom greeting cards. Writing prompted an epiphany--We should share how we feel about others now, while we are alive--not just as words to leave behind. So I created a line of greeting card gift sets to share with others now, and after we are gone.

My Inspiration

My inspiration comes from others who have positively impacted my life in both small and big ways. I write in honor of friends and family that have passed. I write from love, pain, sorrow, misunderstandings, appreciation, and hope. I use a very wide pallet of colors, textures, my favorite animals, and words that make me happy.
