Question:	Can you put new batteries in it
Answer:	Yes, they are the ones you put tea flickering lights. Take it with you when you go to buy it. Amazon sells the lights WITH batteries. * this is the best thing I have bought. I've ordered at least. One for the key chain and as a temporary night light.

Answer:	you can pop it open where the hook is. it will open to the battery- it's a small flat button. Some times it may pop open if you drop it.

Answer:	I had the same concerns that you had. And the battery did run out in less than 6 months, because moving around the purse turned the light on so often.
