Answer:	Hi Steve, thanks for your comment. Is the needle fully inserted into the valve of your ball? If it is not fully inserted the air will not pass into the ball bladder and will build pressure within the pump which will be released through the bottom end of the pump. Another possibility is that the sound you hear of air whooshing when you pull the handle of the pump could be misleading you to think the air is coming out when the pump is actually pushing air in to the ball. I hope this is helpful. Remember to make sure the needle is lubricated before inserting it into the valve of your ball.
