Answer:	I bought these for project pieces. I dont personally wear them but my daughter has and shes done fine with them. I chose these because they were not plated. By definition of "Surgical Steel", they have trace amounts of nickel. If you need a true nickel/lead free product try anything made with Niobium or Titanium. Not a metalurgist, just did some research when I started looking for products. :) Hope this helps.
