Answer:	The caps can go in the dishwasher...at least my Grolsch caps can.

Answer:	Okay, I admit that at first I thought that putting the caps on (and off) was a little like one of the logic puzzles that my father-in-law is fond of giving the kids. There are several tricks to doing this. 1. Notice that there are slight "holes" on the neck of the bottle a little over a half-inch from the top. That is where the metal prongs are going to end up, but 2. Before putting the metal prongs in, make sure that you have the wires oriented correctly. What I do is put the cap on the top as if I'm closing it, let the "big U" ring hang down, and the metal prongs point away from the bottle. 3. At this point I put one of a metal prong in the little hole and then stretch the other metal prong to go into the other hole. The cap should now be loosely on the top and the "big U" upside down. 4. To lock the cap in place, make sure the cap is on top and then pull down the "big U". This will take a little more effort than I'm comfortable with (I'm always afraid I'm going to break it). When the "big U" snaps into place against the bottle, the cap should be securely in place. 5. To open the bottle (loosen the cap), I grip the bottle with both hands and then have a knuckle of each index finger on the ends of the "big U". Gently (but again, applying more force than I want to) have the index fingers pull the "big U" towards you until the mechanism releases. Lift the cork out of the way and the bottle is open.

Answer:	1) soapy water and shake, shake, shake. 2) get a baby bottle brush hope that is it long enough. 3) (best one) save your egg shells. Strip out the inner skin while they are still fresh rinse off any of the left over egg. Then crush and feed into bottle and shake, shake, shake. (Does a really good job.) 4) do #3 but with rice. (haven't tried this because I'd rather eat mine.) 5) rubbing alcohol is supposed to be really go at cleaning glass clouded with hard water deposits. Would not use for getting rid of general yuck, just the cloudy look. Do the soapy swish first then egg shells if there is anything hanging around. 6) disinfect with vinegar water soak. (I do this with all of my dishes 1c vinegar to 1 gal water. Use it as rinse water and let them sit for a few minuets.) 7) Dishwasher for those that have one. 8) boil them. Just like canning (way to much work to do each time unless you have an electric tea kettle.)

Answer:	The one I use the most is 1/2 inch outside diameter. There is one larger, and a couple are smaller. So probably you can find a diameter that works for you somewhere in the collection. They do not have screw ends, though. Hope this helps.
