For a person who doesn't run a little hot, it may not be enough in 30 degree weather but OK in 45-50 degree weather. At 30 degrees my jacket is usually wide open and I am quite comfortable. Not everyone can do this. If you are not sure you can always order and check it out. If it doesn't work out for you return it for something else.

Answer:	The description on Amazon says that it is "machine/hand washable." I checked my jacket and can find no evidence of laundering instructions....maybe I ripped them out or the jacket, threw them away, or the vendor did not include them. Based on the fabric's look and feel, however, I think it would be safe to launder in cold water on a gentle setting and hang to dry.
