Answer:	Hello, that is a good question. The 3E is a wide, D is a regular, and M is narrow. These are not the designations I would assign to them however it is the industry standard. What I tell people is if you have never known about widths you are a most likely a regular.

Answer:	They are very lightweight. A little bit more than a good pair of running shoes. Less than regular boots by a wide margin.

Answer:	It depends on the size boot you order. A size 13 is heavier than a size 8. Also, many shipping carrier charge by the size of the box, not just the weight. So a box of boots that weighs 4.5 pounds will probably be billed by UPS as if it weighs 7 or 8 pounds.

Answer:	They are not mesh, they are waterproof. They are not insulated. I wear them in the summer, feel more like sneakers than boots. For me these are cooler than mesh boots, as they don't allow the heat from the exhaust to blow in through the mesh, as these do not have mesh. They have soft sneaker like soles. Great for off the bike walking around.

Answer:	Sorry I thought it was a question from Amazon. I wear these year round for the support they give my ankles. Summer I wear a lighter sox they can get warm if you are working hard but not unlike a regular boot. I go through 3 to 4 pair a year because I put wide hardshell orthotics in them and wear them for work. It is a great boot for everything.

Answer:	I'm not sure. I ordered the size I usually wear and even tho they were comfortable, my heel slid up and down. I sent them back and got a half size smaller. I wasn't a fan of how they for and sent them back again. I have since moved on to a different pair all together and happy I did.

Answer:	Yes, it is noticeably less breathable. Your foot will heat up but it’s not horrible. You mostly notice it if you are wearing them around a lot. While riding, no. However, I must say that these are awesome shoes. They fit me well and are constructed tough. One of my favorites!

Answer:	The pair of boots i own have the bates logo on them.
Question:	The pair I ordered had a different logo (on the tongue)... not the Bates logo that’s shown... or that’s on any of there other boots... makes me wonder

Answer:	My advice is to take a number larger (in your case No. 13) when it comes to driving a motorcycle for comfort. And when it's running, sneakers are always taken 12 in your case, because that's important to avoid joint injuries.
