It would be tempting because this glass seems heavy and sturdy. And the product description says it is tempered. However, I just used a glass weight load calculator online and did a very QUICK AND DIRTY calculation based on a 2 foot by 3 foot span of 3/16 inch tempered glass. It calculated a weight load in the 50-some pound range. Based on that, there's no way I would use this for a vanity top. People tend to lean on them, etc. Absolutely no way would I do it with that slim of a margin, especially with glass breakage involved. An arm could plunge through it, and on top of that, you are in bare feet in a slippery bathroom with broken glass everywhere. ... I strongly recommend against it for the purpose you are describing. Hope this helps.
