Answer:	These are for weeds, not brush. A Brush Hook would be best to "Clear a Path,in the woods" A machete would work in many cases but this would not be the best choice.. Either way, brush hook or Machette, be careful. Check on line for a video on how to use either safely and how to sharpen the tool. That being said, I ordered one of these for weeds to replace one that was over 50 years old when the handle split. I hate when tools do not last like they should
