Answer: The pilling isn't always from washing. It also comes from your outer clothing rubbing against the bra as well. You might not be able to prevent it.

Answer: No, no padding. It is double lined so show-thru is minimized. It's very comfortable too.

Answer: Nipples will absolutely poke through because there is zero padding on this bra. On the entire front panel it's a soft and stretchy two ply fabric. It's soft and comfortable and great for sleeping in if you sleep in a bra, but this is not what you want if you want lift and coverage. If that's what you want from Hanes their concealing petals underwire bra will be more suitable, or one of the soft wireless bras with molded cups like "Platinum Smooth Inside and Out Foam Wirefree" (see the material list where it says polyester in the cups, all of these have padded molded cups). For a 36C on this bra you'll most likely take a medium. It is REALLY stretchy.

I hope that helps. I am hoping that the stickiness will diminish somewhat over time and I will be able to leave them on my shoulders all day. I personally feel the glue should be on the material side so it can stick on the clothing and not on one’s skin.

I'd suggest trying the Small - with the adjustability of the straps, you can tighten/loosen as necessary. The coverage "real estate" available between the Small and Medium isn't much different (Small is 7 1/4 and Medium is 7 and 5/8). Thank you!
