Answer:	If there is a plastic coating, I can't feel it or see it. I wash mine in warm water and dry on high with other clothes. The only issue I have is they stretch out a bit after wearing them so order a size down from what you usually get. BTW their heavier weight wool leggings are super and will be my go to alone as top layer. They are thicker and hold their shape when wearing more than once. The midweight are ideal as an underlayer if doing multi layers or alone when not too cold (50F)IMO.
