Question:	Mine went completely dead in less than a year. Could it be the battery? Where do you get a replacement battery, and how do you replace it
Answer:	One issue with larger watches is if the band or buckle is too wide, it won't fit in the winding slots, nor in the storage slots (32mm max width). I have a few large watches that won't fit, unless I rig up a custom pillow of my own to hold the watch in the slots. Then there's the issue of making sure the watch is snug so it doesn't lurch when turning, as this would wear out the motor pre-maturely, and the watch may fall out. Other than that, it is very quiet and stylish, and well made for the price. Just wish the slots would have been wider and the pillows more adjustable.

Question:	I bought this for Christmas last year12/19 , and it stopped working 11/20, it didn't last me even a year. What can I do at this time
Answer:	the box says without the stand the width is 2.01" and I measured it and that seams to be right. The stand is 6" wide. The picture is GREAT and clear. Sound is not all that great as far as loudness but the sound is crisp and not static. I hook it up to my stereo in my RV and the sound is perfect. The best part is the 12 volt hardly draws from the battery. I used it for 8 hours straight to see how my marine battery would last using it. its still had enough battery left to keep going. Answer:	Depends on the watch. If you have one with a comfortable power reserve, setting 1 or 2 is probably enough. I have an skx007 with a 7s26 movement that loses time so I keep it on #3.

Answer:	I have had mine for about 2 years. It stopped working about 18 months in. Nice, quality but the mechanisms/electronics no longer work.
Question:	How many turns per day do the settings result in ? Or how long does each turn take
Answer:	Base on my calculation, I timed it myself and each rotates takes roughly about 8 second on my unit. No way it is 5 second. that's pretty fast. Mode 1,2,3 are pretty much the same, rotate 2 minutes and rest for 6 minutes. let say 8 seconds per turn, 2 minutes (160 seconds) will be 15 turns and it rest for 6 minutes. Which means 15 turns in 8 minutes. One hour (60 minutes) will be 112.5 turns. So, in a day it will be 24 hours X 112.5 which is roughly 2700 turns. That is way too much according to the recommendation.. http://orbita.com/2010_web/NEW/Database-S.htm My Seiko needs about 500 - 950 TPD. Mode 4 is rotate for 3 hours and then rest for 9 hours. 3 hours (60 mins x 3) = 180 minutes. My unit is 7.5 turns per minute. That's insane 1350 turns in 3 hours. Way too much. I wish they could have done some research before setting these timers. What I end up doing was using a timer myself and set it to a maximum of 8 hour per day. Using Mode 3. CW and CCW. Turn for 2 minutes and Rest for 6. If my math is correct, 8 hours will give me about 900 turns. Will see how it goes. Hope this help..

Answer:	The watch winder will but the pillow will probably be a bit small (at least it is for my submariner with no extra links). I just used a small piece of wadded up cloth at the back of the band to fill in the gap and it works just fine.

Answer:	There is no setting to adjust. Plug it in and it begins to turn. There are way too many turns to count. It spins at a moderate rate of speed and never seems to be 'out of control.' It stops periodically, but if you want to remove the watch from the device, just unplug and it stops immediately.

Answer:	It should. The movement of the kinetic watch is essentially an automatic movement

Answer:	It's just - OK. IT started out VERY quiet. After a few weeks it became quit GROWLY! Also, a few times it wouldn't turn-on. I eventually get it going, but haven't discovered the source of the problem (unit or power supply).

Answer:	The winder is not constantly spinning. I haven't timed it yet, but when it stops movement there is enough time to remove the watch and put a different watch in the winder. I do this regularly without a problem. Also, the winder is totally silent. It is in our bedroom, pretty near my side of the bed, and I never hear a thing.

Answer:	Well if you don't have a product that is not manufactured any more but someone has bought up a warehouse of them, and there are people that want them you get those prices. We have the exact same can opener for over 20 years when we first moved in our home. It served us well, we wanted another one. We also didn't see any other product that fit under the shelving in the kitchen. For people that don't cook very much I'm sure it sounds outrageous. But we got what we wanted.

Answer:	I would never recommend using a drill bit peg winder on friction pegs. Personally, I only ever use these on geared tuners.

Answer:	You don’t need them for violin pegs because of the strings used.

Answer:	I use mine for my strat and my acoustic guitars and it works great. If the thickness of your gretsch tuner is similar thickness of my guitars I think it should work.

Answer:	There was no warranty stated when it was delivered but you shouldn’t need one. It’s very well made and it would take a lot of abuse to damage it, including the coating.

Answer:	China. It is pretty difficult to find a watch winder which is not manufactured in China (all of the 12 Watch Winders I investigated on Amazon had parts manufactured in China). Unrelated to Watches and Watch Winders specifically, I should note that there are many products manufactured in China which are every bit as good as the same product manufactured in other parts of the world because they are required to use the exact same manufacturing materials and material standards. But for something like Watch Winders, which the manufacturing of is not regulated whatsoever by a standards governance organization, the individual components can be all over the place in quality.If you are looking specifically for a 100% quality German made Watch Winder/Case; I recently purchased the Chronovision Collector Box (not sold at Amazon) and they are made in Germany with all German manufacturing and parts. http://www.chronovision.de/?language=en ... Answer:	I checked the AC adaptor and it says 100-240V. Yes it's dual, although I use it only on 127V. You can use batteries as well. Hope it helps.

2 minutes turning, 6 minutes resting and cycle repeats, spinning speed is about 8 turns in one minute, and about 2880 turns per day, In this mode, the watch will be wound at clockwise, and the winder works forever, you can keep the watches for long time. Most automatic mechanical watches can be wound fully in this mode, but some brand not. Such as some of “Jaeger” etc.

2.counter-Clockwise Mode

2 minutes turning, 6 minutes resting and cycle repeats, spinning speed is about 8 turns in one minute, and about 2880 turns per day, In this mode, the watch will be wound at counter clockwise, and the winder works forever, you can keep the watches for long time. Most automatic mechanical watches can be wound fully in this mode. And If you watch can be only wound at this mode, please select this mode.

Note: If you watch can only be wound anti-clockwise, please do not choose this mode.

3.Clockwise + Counter-clockwise mode

Clockwise 2 minutes turning, 6 minutes resting then Counter-clockwise 2 minutes turning, 6 minutes resting and the cycle repeats, the speed is also about 8 turns in one minute, and about 2880 turns per day. It is an easy mode, you don't need to know how your watch has been wound, in this mode, the winder never stops. If you want to keep the watches for a long time, you can select this mode.

4.Non-Intermittent Clockwise + Counterclockwise Mode

Clockwise 5 minutes turning then counter-clockwise 5 minutes turning. This cycle will repeat for 3 hours then rest for 9 hours before beginning again (and about 2880 turns per day, clockwise 1440 turns, counter-clockwise 1440 turns).

This mode is a dream mode when you have a daily working schedule, start the watch winder at a right time, when you get back home, place the watch back to winder, and the watch will be fully wound within 3 hours. Then the winder will stop for 9hours, in this 9 hour you will hear nothing, then after 9 hour resting, it starts working again.

Question:	How many TPD (turns per day) for each one of the setting modes
Answer:	I keep my watch in a safe, and don't have an AC power source. The first set of D-cell alkaline batteries I installed have been going for over 20 months. It's a woman's watch, so it might be less "work" for the winder than a heavier men's model. I was only expecting 4 months or so, but they're still going. I was pleasantly surprised.
Question:	What are the winding program options
Answer:	Yes; mine it last 5 minutes... In less than five minutes the key broke! My watch winder is always opened. Anyway, the winder works very well. Don't mind about the lock. But it,s not the best...

EASY SETUP

The rotors can operate independently. You can set a winding mode for each rotor depending on the watch model you’re placing into it. Unused rotors can be disabled.

QUIET ROTORS

The rotors are very quiet. You can hardly hear them spinning.

There are 3 rotation directions available:

• clockwise;
• counterclockwise;
• bi-directional (mixed).

In the mixed mode, the rotor rotates clockwise and counterclockwise alternately.

DOOR LOCK

The door lock will prevent unwanted access to your watch collection.

MOTOR-STOP OPTION

The watch winder features a Motor-Stop option. When you open the door, the rotors stop automatically. This prevents possible breakdowns of the winding mechanism while installing or removing watches.
