Answer:	I would contact ironlace themselves and explain, im positive they would send you a new pair for free. I have 2 pairs of ironlaces and the ones that are older started to fray at the ends after about 3 months of heavy use, so i plasti-dipped the ends and they came out awesome. So if you contact ironlace and they don't require you to send the old ones in i would highly recommend you do that

Answer:	I work in wildland fire and have 72" pair in my 12 inch boots and a 63" pair in my 10 inch boots and I love them. The first pair I bought in 2011 and still going strong, they do wear out the eyelets eventually but if you have good boots those can be replaced before the leather is damaged. I really like that I never have to worry about them breaking, I recommend them!

Answer:	I would have to say no cause the laces themselves are almost as long as your waist, there would not be enough constriction to hold up your pants. Excellent for running shoes though.

Answer:	Probably not! The boot laces can be a little long & you have to hold one end with one hand & the second hand is needed to slide the locking mechanism. The regular laces on sneakers or hiking shoes you could probably get away with it. I do it with a pair of hicking shoes. I leave the laces loose & just slide my feet into the shoe and leave it like that most of the time. I have to admit, I love these laces.

Question:	Are the end caps single use only? I laced the shoe up too high and now I can't get them off, to redo them
Answer:	I think they are probably intended to be single-use. I ran into a similar problem to yours though and found that you can CAREFULLY pry the end back open by inserting a flat screwdriver into the indentation at the end where the halves meet and twisting. Use a screwdriver that is wide enough so as not to turn inside the indentation and deform the plastic. After you cut the laces melt the ends of the laces slightly, again carefully, so that they do not fray, before reinstalling them into the end caps. A butane lighter or even a match can be used for this, I use a small butane torch that I use for other projects.
Question:	What are the specs on the cord? Guage? Tensile strength? I'm rather rough on shoes

Question:	Lock Laces - can you lace them up as tight as you want
Answer:	I have these on both pairs of my running shoes and my cleats, and I’ve found that I get a better fit because they are thinner than regular laces. If you cinch up each level of regular laces when you tie your shoes, then you will get a tighter fit from regular laces vs. elastic no-ties. That said, these aren’t as stretchy as some, and the adjustable clasp makes it very easy to cinch down tight, ideal for sports or everyday use. Other brands are more stretchy, which may be nice for slip-on shoe comfort. I just open the cinch, slip on, snug and slide the cinch, and I get plenty of snugness. I haven’t tried the hiking boot laces so I can’t speak for those.

1. Replace your laces

Lace up your shoes as you would for regular shoes. Thread the laces through the passages on the lock device, press down on the top of the lock and slide the lock to the tongue of the shoe.
