Answer:	Yes the shoe polish is flammable, I always ignite it for 3-7 seconds to liquify the polish when shinning my boots. If you choose to ignite the polish be sure to put the the top cap back on it to put it out.

Answer:	Hello, yes this can be used on any leather boots. The leather will darken from the oils/waxes in the product. Brush clean prior to applying and apply liberally. A little bit of heat from a hair dryer or heat gun will help absorb into the leather. Buff off excess. If surface is sticky after applying, keep buffing as this is excess conditioner on the surface.

Answer:	I use this to break in and maintain all my Danner leather boots as well as my dress shoes (from other brands). It works great and keeps the leather from cracking and seems to help repair minor abrasion damage. I didn't use a brush at first, for years, but that helps too.

Answer:	It does have a mild smell much the same as a mink oil dressing. Whether or not deer can smell the boot dressing I've no idea. For me the waterproof quality out weighed any smell concerns. I've not noted any animal detection of the boot treatment. Applied animal scents to clothing wal more than cover any scent from the boot dressing. Does the dressing work? Yes, it does everything it states it does.

Answer:	I usually take the oil and put on my hands and rub my boots like I would apply lotion on myself. I let them sit out and usually by morning my boots have absorbed the oil. If not a rag would be fine to use to remove the excess. You don't want them wet enough where dirt will stick to them.

Answer:	Boot Guard does not, itself, contain any dyes. So if the original surface of the tanned leather was totally destroyed, Boot Guard can't return color definition. If the leather is merely faded and looking a little worn out, though, Boot Guard is ideal -- it saturates and seals the leather so that the color is normalized across the leather surface. If the leather has never been conditioned, and you're not sure if you're going to like the color, we recommend testing a little patch of Boot Guard in an inconspicuous spot.
