Answer:	Laurie, yes, that's what I use it for. Try to make sure you use it on a clean, wet blanket. I purchased a defective Snuggit blanket online, and I was about ready to throw it away and buy another. But I took a chance on this product, and washed the blanket with Nikwax Rug Wash, then hung the blanket and sprayed it heavily with this product. I let it dry for a couple of days in the sun, and voila! The next time it rained, the water beaded up, and my horse was snug and warm and dry. That was a few months ago, and the rain still beads up on the blanket. I've purchased another small bottle, to use at the end of the winter season. I'm going to wash the blanket and re-treat it with the Nikwax spray-on, before storing it until next winter. I've also purchased and used Nikwax Rug Proof, but I like this spray on much better. Answer:	The spray is an easier method for treating your apparel. The wash-in may last longer, however this depends on how often you'll be using your clothing.

Answer:	I have used it on rain coat,two pair UGG boots, isotoner gloves and a pair of UGG suede slippers that I always run outside in. Of course first 24 hours, AFTER bringing in house from spraying you will notice smell and may even feel a slightly different texture to your material items. After about 48 hours it's as if you never sprayed anything on them at all. Regarding dogs, I have a 215lb English Cream, Golden Retriever. Answer:	I do not have a down coat, but I would not hesitate to use starseal on it if I did! I used this on almost Everything I use outside, from coats to boots to gloves, even my umbrella. It does have a strong oder that will last a few days, but does dissipate, it worked very well on all tight knit cloth and materials, it worked great on my leather boots and gloves for a week or so. Does no do well on lose knitted items, ie: sweaters, it does waterproof the material, but water still runs through the knit. I just ed purchased a new couch, and will be spraying with starseal before I leave for work in the morning. NOTE: APPLY ONLY IN WELL VENTILATED AREAS.

So, I put ONE 'SCANT' coat of white WAX, KIWI shoe polish over this 'waterproofing' & that worked great, making them as white as B4...Even 3 years later, I can't believe how good they still look. Living in SE Pennsylvania, I have worn them thru MANY DOWNPOURS/snowstorms/while cleaning snow off my car...even when I've, unintentionally, stepped in water puddles...stm…also at several sporting events, concerts etc. & my feet stay dry as can be! BTW, I haven't reapplied the Kiwi Waterproofing since I first got them, but I have reapplied the white shoe polish, after using a diluted REGULAR Dawn/warm water solution & a soft, microfiber cloth to gently clean & allowing them to dry completely...to keep them looking good, for as long as possible...& only notice 'dirt' & VERY SMALL amount of the white polish on the cloth, that easily washes off the cloth, so that tells me I'm not 'washing off/effecting' the original coats of waterproofing...A lot is still left in the can, but since it is 3+ yrs old, just getting a new can, for when I find a new pair of boots I'm looking for & sharing with Friends...MUCH cheaper for same amount, here @ AMAZON than I paid at a shoe store (price sticker still on it) & saw your question/concern. I run deliveries for a local bakery in western N.Y. state so I am out in all kinds of rain and puddles and mud. I wear serious boots in the winter so these shoes don't see snow deeper than two inches and in summer I wear gym shoes. this stuff is terrific! and by the way,I used it on the gym shoes twice as well and it's still working great! really good stuff! Answer:	I used it for a canvas umbrella and can sit under it in very heavy rain without it leaking. I've had it on for over a year and it's still good (bought extra canisters for this year as previous stuff only lasted a season but haven't had to use them yet). My camping days are long over but I would certainly try this out for canvas tenting.

Answer:	I sprayed a 7 person tent about twice with one can. Worked great. Went camping and had two small leaks near the seams after a heavy downpour over several days of camping. Used a second can starting with those areas and had no leaks the second camping trip! Now I just reapply with one can depending on how much camping we expect to do that season.

Answer:	I understand your condition. I flew in the Navy, and pre-flights in the rain were the worst. I'm not sure this product is you. It's not resistant to abrasions, and would definitely not stand up to laundry detergent. It's designed to be applied to an existing water resistant material, like a tarp or tent. Although it says you can apply to other things like boots, in my opinion, this would cause the product to wear off fairly quickly. You have my sincere sympathy and hope that you find a good solution.
