Question:	How stable are these, when going downhill
Answer:	We recently did an 8 mile round trip hike with an elevation gain of about 2000'. On the way back down I noticed that the chains had shifted a little but were still pretty much in place. This wasn't a super steep descent so it may not be the best test but it literally takes a few seconds to re-adjust these things. Walking uphill and downhill on ice is very easy and you don't even notice that you have them on. I hope that helps.

Answer:	A large would fit your shoe perfectly (I wear the same size) since the frame of the cleat is rubberized and designed to stretch up to a men's size 11 or 12. This cleat is easily placed by stretching the frame from toe to heal and removal is just reversing the process. If you prefer another "easy on/easy off" cleat, I would also recommend the strap cleat that wraps around the ball of the shoe and is secured with velcro.
Question:	Can these be worn when running on residential roads (concrete/pavement)? Or is this more of a trail running product
Answer:	yes! you can definitely wear these while running on roads/pavement. I wear them all winter. they will save you from slipping when you run across an icy patch but they are perfectly OK to wear on the dry pavement. if I know my route will have a mix of ice and clear pavement, I wear them so I don't have to worry. after 1 hour or so you might start to feel them under your feet; make sure they are positioned correctly. I wear pretty sturdy traditional running shoes. with a more flexible / light weight shoe you might feel them more. but I consider them a winter outdoor running lifesaver! just wore them today for 10 miles on mixed surfaces but mostly road.

Question:	My shoe size is right on the cusp! I wear a women’s size 8.5 boot. Should I get medium or large
Answer:	I would go with large. The straps secure them if they're a little loose but putting them on your boots can be difficult if they're a little small. The boot style can make a difference too. I have some boots with a Norwegian welt rather than the more common molded soles and the welt makes for a larger footprint than a molded sole in the same size boot.

Answer:	The spikes are some kind of metal, my husband love these he says they are very safe and uses them to go ice fishing. He has other foot gear he wears for clearing snow from our drive way.

Answer:	If you are ordering let's say a men's 8 to 10 go with a medium size usually they fit as shoe sizes do . Small med. Large like buying socks

Answer:	The points are maybe 3/8 inch. I use them to snowblow my side walk and driveway. They make a clicking noise when I walk, bur a stainless steel so should hold up well. I haven’t walked on asphalt very much, but walking up on parches, I think they would leave a mark
