| Answer: | GoodOnYe---Cool idea----Yes, it is hollow, because the telescoping blade accordions up inside of it. Look at Amazon's picture of it, to understand my comments. The handle is 11" long 1.5" diameter, except for the rectangular black thing in middle on left, which has 6 LEDs in it. The silver butt-plate at the bottom comes off with one small retaining screw, which reveals a battery tray which can be easily pulled out with pliars, but under that, there are plastic parts which seem to have been machine-pressed in, so that there is no good way to open up either end of the tube. My guess is that the easiest way to hollow it out is to use a hack saw and cut off the top of it right below the retaining ring, which holds in the telescoping light sections. I think it will be easy, without significantly changing the appearance. |
