Answer:	I'm 6' 195lbs. 36" waist (at hips / lg. gut) 46” chest. The Lg. Carhartt J140 fits pretty good, though I actually wish the waistband was smaller so I'm thinking it should fit a 40" waist. Good luck.

Answer:	Carhartt does not temperature rate their garments because everyone has a different threshold for what they consider to be warm. I think the J140 will be fine in 23 degree weather. The J133, that has are Arctic quilt lining is their warmest.

Very nice, warm, comfortable and good looking jacket for cool and/or cold weather. Only jacket I wear once temp goes below 40-45 degrees(f). I like it!!!

Answer:	Hey SJ: I'm 6' tall and weigh 190 pounds. Ordered a Large first; arrived and the sleeves were an inch and a half to two inches short and the bottom of the jacket rode above my waist. I than tried an XL and it was like a tent and I was the pole. Ultimately ordered a large/tall. Now is a bit big in sleeves and a bit long in the body but a better fit than the initial Large. Tried it on with a long sleeve T-shirt and canvas long sleeve shirt in an effort to answer your question. I'm not "stacked" and feel with the T-shirt/canvas shirt is room in the sleeves I think. Upper sleeve design at the point of attaching to the jacket allow a lot of interior space for upper arms/chest in the jacket. Hopefully the above will help you in making a decision.....think they paid the return shipping when I sent the initial large jacket back and of course there was free shipping on the Large/tall I purchased.
