Answer:	Hard to answer for sure. I only wear mine for snow shoveling and blowing; or rarely when I need to step into water to clear a storm drain. I wear a size 13 shoe and I purchased a size 14 boot. Can't wear them with shoes on, but I can with slippers that have a sole. I put them in the boot then slip the boot/slipper combo on. You do need some footwear for comfort as there is no real sole to the boot, so the slippers give me the fit and footing I needed. Otherwise, I'd be flopping around in them a bit as the boot's sole is thin and flexible. If you're going to wear shoes (tennis or such) get two sizes larger, that should work.
