Answer:	I ordered my first pair in 2017, 2nd in 2019 and I ordering my 3rd pair in a row right after this comment. They average almost 2 years to the month for me. But, I'm also a full time Mechanic at a shop. I work and walk around a lot of chemicals. Mostly Autozone Brake Clean, gasoline and oil. I also wear size 15 wide and I am happy with spending just under $100 every 2 years for these boots. They are very, very comfortable for not needing to be broken in like a lot of other boots. My sole/tread is starting to fall apart from the boot now. But, I also haven't been cleaning and greasing them at the end of every week like I was. I love these boots. If you're not around a lot of chemicals and you clean them and grease them like you're supposed to, I can easily see these boots lasting you 5+ years. I mean, I started flaking on the care and maintenance of them and they last me 2 years walking in harsh chemicals 40 hours a week. I also wear my boots out of work because they're more comfortable than my shoes.

Answer:	They are the most comfortable boots I have ever bought, I got them on sale off amazon .com for about 120.00 they are normally close to 200.00. as soon as they go on sale again I will buy another pair. ( 9" this time ) They are , unfortunately made in china, but they are awesome quality and comfort. They run about a half size larger than stated, my size 8 are a little roomy, I will get 7 1/2 next time. Hope that helps....

Answer:	I don't actually use them to hunt. I use them as a work boot. And they are great. As good as a red wing boot but a lot cheaper. And no break in. These are comfortable right out of the box. Only con about them is the soft leather. I normally buy a wide shoe. But in these I get a normal since the sides stretch out some. So if you wear a wide get a normal. If you wear a normal you'll be fine.

Answer:	The bottom is not slippery. These are awesome shoes, you will love them. No needs for tights or nylons with these. Very comfortable but fancy- best of both worlds. Not at home to measure but my rule of thumb is to always order up. My daughter is a USA 11 and I ordered USA 12- They were perfect.

I have hundreds of miles on them climbing up ladders, stairs, concrete, asphalt, gravel, oil, gasoline, ice, broken glass and more. I work 10 hour days. I'm overweight. The shoes have held up great. Looking to cycle in a second pair to get the first ones to hopefully last to 24 months. Sole is not peeling off for me. The traction is almost all gone.

Answer:	My last two pairs of Timberland Pro boots had problems with the material just above the tread crumbling and coming apart. I then tried Red Wings but they wore out too fast so I am back to Timberland Pro. If I have problems this time I will definitely go after Timberland to make this right. This has the makings of a class action as many people have reported problems with this boot's soles coming apart. Google it.

Answer:	They do :) However, we all have differently proportioned feet. So if the size doesn't work out right away, you have the 30-day return window, can send the boots back and re-order a different pair!

Question:	Any body worn out the soles on concrete or am I an anomalie,8 months old and the sole on my left foot is down to the plastic underneath the rubber
Answer:	These aren't the most comfortable boots I've worn, but they are reasonably comfortable. For an all-day on concrete the lack of breathe-ability would make your feet hot, and the foot bed is OK, not cloud-like however.
Question:	Are these astm f2413 compliant? any pics of the info on the tongue tag
Answer:	The style number of this boot is 10002183.
Question:	True to size? i wear a size 9.5 wide in all my work boot (chippewa, georgia, thorogood) so would 9.5 wide work for these danner boots
Answer:	There are very similar. The two differences I am aware of are that the H20 Hiking boot is all leather versus leather & textile. The H2O boot is also about 5 - 8% less expensive. I have purchased 3 of the H2O version over the last 10 years. I wear them almost every day and originally got the first pair for my trip to Yellowstone.
Question:	Do these boots get hot? Make feet sweat ? Can they be worn in summer? I need all year round boots
Answer:	That’s not true. I wore them in Alaska for years. My feet never got wet.

The Vicious is not your traditional Danner. The desire for a lightweight, comfortable work boot challenged us to create something better. Throughout the design process, we used our wealth of knowledge and experience, but questioned our assumptions at every step. The Vicious is our most comfortable non-traditional work boot, and one that is built to last.

Ergonomic Fit

To truly create something new, one must start from the ground up. In footwear, that begins with the development of a footwear last, a solid form that literally shapes the fit and performance of the boot. When we designed the last for the Vicious, we took in part the ergonomic structure of the foot, focusing our attention on allowing the toes to naturally splay, and narrowing the heel to lock the foot in place. We then designed the composite safety toe specifically around the last, maintaing the integrity of its fit.

Unconventional Support

The Trailguard platform is a unique construction that saves weight and provides torsional strength by integrating an extremely durable TPU shank into the midsole, while the EVA midsole provides cushioning properties. By molding the midsole directly to the outsole and removing a seam, we eliminated weight and added strength. An extremely comfortable and supportive work boot, the Vicious challenges the traditional ideals of how a work boot should perform.

While the Vicious may not be a traditional work boot, the standards we adhere to are a long standing tradition to the Danner name. We extensively test each hide and only accept the highest grade of leather. We line the boot upper with waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX, and use the strongest, most rugged Vibram outsoles. We have been upholding these standards since the very beginning and will for years to come. The Vicious is no exception.

Answer:	Your feet are going to sweat some no matter what boots you where. However, I will say these are pretty breathable as far as boots go thanks to the gortex. They are still boots though. So I would highly recommend real wool socks with any boot any time of year. You are going to think I'm crazy, but wool socks truly keep your feet dryer. I've worn these year round working outdoors and I'm very pleased with them. Hope this helps.
