11 best law enforcement boots
Lava patio heaters are a fantastic addition to any outdoor space, providing warmth and ambiance during chilly evenings. These heaters typically use propane or natural gas to generate heat, and they often come in a pyramid or column shape, resembling a mini lava lamp.
One of the advantages of lava patio heaters is their ability to distribute heat evenly across a defined radius. The tall design allows for effective heat dispersion, ensuring that everyone around the patio can enjoy a comfortable temperature. These heaters are not only functional but also add a touch of style to your outdoor decor.
The pyramid shape of some lava patio heaters contributes to their stability, preventing accidental tip-overs. Additionally, many models come equipped with safety features such as a shut-off valve for gas in case of emergencies.
Keep in mind that while these heaters are excellent for taking the edge off cooler evenings, they may not be as effective in extremely windy conditions. It's always a good idea to consider the specific climate and conditions of your outdoor space when choosing a patio heater.
Maintenance is relatively straightforward. Regularly check for any debris or blockages in the burner and make sure the connections are secure. Also, follow the manufacturer's guidelines for cleaning and storage, especially during the off-season.
If you're looking to extend the usability of your outdoor space into the colder months, a lava patio heater might be the perfect solution to keep you and your guests warm and cozy.

Hard work, innovation, and a love of the great outdoors are all big parts of the Timberland story. They have been since the very beginning.
In 1973 our original waterproof boots called the “Timberland” were invented. They were rugged, well-crafted, and—thanks to an innovative injection molding technique which was new to the footwear industry—they withstood the elements. These premium “yellow” boots set new standards for waterproof performance in the footwear industry. They became equally popular with outdoor enthusiasts who needed protection in all conditions, professional trade workers who needed rugged dependable gear, and many others who just wanted a great looking pair of boots. These boots defined our brand. They were so groundbreaking that in 1978 we renamed the entire company.
Timberland’s heritage of hard work, innovation, and love of nature continues. We are here to inspire and equip the world to step outside, work together and make it better. Today, we find the outdoors everywhere, from right outside our doors to places far beyond. We find it in cities, suburbs, and the countryside. It’s where we work, play and connect to one another. That’s why we are on a mission to make our brand and company a force for positive change.

User questions & answers
Question: | Will these clear a metal detector |
Answer: | No they will not pass a metal scanner or detector. Also a full body scan that the airports use the eyelets will show up as a foreign object. |
Question: | Do these come with insoles |
Answer: | Yes, plastic orthotics really. I bought some insoles for big men. They fit perfect. I love these boots! |
Question: | Are these boots steel/composite or regular toe |
Answer: | The Danner Fort Lewis 10 inch boots are regular toe boots. They are the most comfortable boots I've ever worn, my feet never get wet even standing in water. They are expensive but worth every penny. |
Question: | This page says that this is a Men's shoe but the description says it's a Women's, which is it because that determines what size to order |
Answer: | The model number ending in W is the women's boot. Amazon sent me a link to respond to this question, but I didn't buy or review the women's version so something's probably screwy in their inventory system. |

HOW IT FITS:The 650 last offers a sleek, slender profile with a more narrow fit. Boots on this last tend to fit those with a more narrow foot better than those with a wider foot. This ensures a snug fit for terrain and activities that demand support and stability. If you do have a wider foot, we recommend ordering an "EE" (wide) in this style.
You'll be at ease for sure when you're wearing the Acadia Uniform Boot from Danner. Featuring Danner's infamous stitch-down construction, the Acadia offers the utmost support with a high ankle and lace-up closure. The stable underfoot platform provides traction and support while the plain toe meets almost any uniform requirements you need.
At Danner, they are craftsmen. They pay attention to details. They forgo quantity for quality, with the knowledge that the boots they craft are no better than the hands that create them.

User questions & answers
Question: | Whats the difference between 12 b n and 12d m |
Answer: | They are just being redundant. For men, D is standard width, which some companies call Medium or M. Narrow is what 'n' stands for and B is Danner's next narrower width from D. Some manufacturers make a C width. |
Question: | Are these boots somewhat stiff or are they more soft & flexible along with being good for walking and hiking |
Answer: | Yes, they are stiff initially yet comfortable. They will form to your foot and become more flexible and comfortable. They are more of a work boot in my eyes than a true hiking boot. |
Question: | Can anyone tell me if these are completely non-metallic? I have to go through a metal detector every day at work. Thanks |
Answer: | Non-Metallic Toe (NMT): Our non-metallic toe does not transmit heat or cold. Nor will it set off metal detectors. As expected, it meets or exceeds ASTM F2413-11 M I/75 C/75 EH standards. |
Question: | Are they warm enough for winter? but breathable enough for hot summers? and how might they hold up to running |
Answer: | They are warm enough in the winter if u move, if u stand not so good. For hot summers u kind of sweating. For run , if u don't do marathons, they good for short distances, a little heavy though. Overall are good boots, the only complaint is that recently sent them for resoling and Danners asked $220 and I've decided not to do it. After 2 years of use I considered it's too pricey, they didn't give me a discount for a new pair. Hope this help. |

User questions & answers
Question: | How good is the support in the arch |
Answer: | So far so good! I've worn these boots for the last 6 months daily (8-10 hrs) with little to no foot fatigue and great support. They really hold up well. I will be buying these again. |
Question: | I live in Montreal Canada and looking for somthing that will tough the canadian winter, are they anygood in snow and -30C |
Answer: | I wore these boots, (with high quality thick socks), in 10°F weather daily in Alaska. I had no issues with my feet being cold as long as I stayed moving. For working/standing outside in those temps, I, too, would suggest getting insulated boots instead. My suggestion there would be Remington’s boots with 400+ gram Thinsilate. |
Question: | Do these have a steel shank |
Answer: | No |
Question: | Do these shine up well? Also, will be on my feet for the better part of a 10 hour shift? Comfort |
Answer: | I find that if you use a good paste wax (Kiwi) they will shine up very nicely. I have mine on from 5:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. and am on my feet covering distances of five to eight miles, five days out of seven. This brand is the best I've ever worn and the most comfortable. Excellent support and comfort from the foot bed and insoles (I am sixty years old and all about comfortable feet). I 've never been disappointed in these boots and trust you will find them exceptional. |

User questions & answers
Question: | What's the waterproofing on these |
Answer: | Excellent. They are truly water "proof" and not just water "resistant". I would know from experience. That is, they function optimally when they are new due the quality of the Goretex. However, after time, like with any other product, the material begins to wear and they won't be as waterproof as they were. But then again, which shoes are? These are still my go-to when I need tactical shoes. They perform great, feet comfortable for a long time, and the microbial insole actually does something too (ie. kills odour), again, for a while. And they are wate proof to boot (pun intended). Ya, Salomon made a wicked shoe here. This is my second pair in this style (Tactical Forces GTX), and i have no regrets. |
Question: | Are these women’s boots |
Answer: | They are considered "Unisex", meaning, they do not make a separate style/color for women. So they are for both men and women. Hope this helped. |
Question: | How is the water resistance on these boots |
Answer: | Excellent. I really works on these boots, but like with any other material thing, it will break down in time. But that won't be for a long while. I was really happy with my last pair, so I just had to get them again. I have been a fan of Salomon for some time, and have always used their shoes, particularly the XA Pro trail running shoe. When i saw this model in a Tactical motif, I just had to get it. And I was not disappointed once with their level of comfort and water proof abilities. The odor resistant insole is pretty nice too and last a long time. Hope this helped. |
Question: | Are these women boots |
Answer: | They call them Unisex on the website. So I don't think they have a separate model for Women. You can check Salomon's website though. Hope this helped. |
