User questions & answers

Question: It says this typically ships within 1 to 2 months. How soon should I expect this item to actually ship and will it really take up to 2 months
Answer: I ordered when it was in stock showed up within 3 days. It could take the whole 2 months, as shipping sucks lately and also the 18" bike has been backordered in multiple brands for a while now.
Question: Does this bike go backwards
Answer: only if you are scooting it backwards. If you mean fly wheel, yes. The back brake is on the handlebar.
Question: does the pink have front brakes? white shows one, pink shows two. desc shows one
Answer: The Pink LSX has both the front and rear brake levers. The White LSX only has one, the rear brake lever. Thanks
Question: What are the tools needed to assemble the bike? I would like to purchase them as well
Answer: You really only need an Allen key wrench, a 5/8" open end wrench, a Phillips screwdriver and air for the tires

Triple Eight Gotham Dual Certified MIPS Skateboard and Bike Helmet

Triple Eight

Based on 263 reviews Check latest price

Product description

The Triple 8 Gotham MIPS Helmet for Biking, Skating, Rollerblading, and Roller Derby is the perfect blend of comfort, safety, and good looks. Dual-certified for both bike and skate, it has patented Multi-directional Impact Protection System (MIPS) technology that reduces rotational forces during impact. The innovative Conehead EPS liner offers additional protection with collapsing cones that act like a crumple zone to absorb the energy from a crash and spread the force sideways within the helmet liner. An ABS shell, with an urban profile and subtle brim, features Triple Eight logo vents for maximum airflow. Ideal for biking, skateboarding, rollerblading, roller derby, and commuting, the helmet complies with U.S. CPSC Safety Standard for Bicycle Helmets for Persons Age 5 and Older and ASTM F-1492 Skate safety standards. Includes two sets of removable, washable terrycloth Sweatsaver Fit Pads, an adjustable dial system, and chin strap with side release buckle for customizing the fit. Available in three sizes: Size XS/S fits 18.9 – 21.3 in (48– 54 cm), S/M fits 21.7 – 22.8 in (55 – 58 cm), L/XL 23.2 – 24 in (59 – 61 cm). To determine proper size, measure using a soft measuring tape or string.

User questions & answers

Question: What’s size is this
Answer: MIPS is a liner inside the helmet that moves very slightly independently of the shell. The idea is that it provides better protection against rotational forces when compared to a normal helmet because a normal helmet is tested only for direct impacts.
Question: What size is this helmet? It is not listed. This helmet is available in three different sizes
Answer: Odyssey has two forks. R-25 and R-32.
Question: what size is this
Answer: Yes
Question: In the list of helmets for sale one says "triple eight gotham" few helmets down you find "triple eight gotham with mips" what's the difference
Answer: the drop out is 4mm thick
