Answer:	We did that a lot with our kiddo. He was 1 at the time so not as active as a 2 year old but I'd imagine they'd still be great. They were always very easy to clean up as well.

Answer:	These shoes are awesome. In answering your question, you can easily size up and have room to grow. That’s what we did for my two younger children. The Velcro strap keeps them on, and you’ll get lots of wear out of them that way. Or, you can just order the normal size 11 that your child wears. Win win!

Question:	Has anyone worn this shoe in a pool for water exercise
Answer:	No but I bought mine and use them for wading in the lake when I kayak. They maintain a great grip when wet because of the Vibram sole so I would imagine pool exercise would not be a problem.

Answer:	There is some arch support. It is not real high arch support, but enough to make them very comfortable to wear all day.
Question:	How supportive are these for the lumbar spine
Answer:	I think they are great all around. The best Merrill I have found, most of them are a little narrow in the toe box. I have been wearing them right out of the box since I received them when I am not dressed up for work.

Answer:	I walked around Ireland, maybe not 10 miles a day, but close. I had no problem with these shoes!!

Question:	My daughter wears a size 2 in girls and is 9 years old. What size should I get her in these? She's not a little kid but she's not a toddler
Answer:	My daughter has a narrow foot and I was not impressed with this shoe. It was sloppy big and it rubbed on her heel. It is true to size when considering actual toe to heel sizing but width wise it is huge.
Question:	Going to the beach this summer. Will these hold up when going from ocean to land
Answer:	HI, I use them as sandal and theybare wonderful and they can get wet like in water games but not for swimming. For a regular beach day are great.

Answer:	I believe these are children’s shoes & sizes; I bought them for my little girl. However, in other Merrells, I have similarly sized feet and stick with an 8 because they are typically narrow/form fitting.

Answer:	They were true to size. My granddaughter was to the very end of her out grown shoes so I ordered a whole size up they fit well and she loves them.

Answer:	I'm not sure if they are authentic, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference honestly. But I do know my 4 year loved his and, aside from the front of one of them lifting a bit (had to guerrilla glue it down) they work great! And they are still in great shape! Wish they still fit him!

Answer:	I would think they're wider than average adult, like wide adult. I only know that the 3 wide fit my grandson's very wide feet & that they're great sandals.

Answer:	We found that they did smell after getting them wet and it took them a LONG time to dry out. If your plan is to have your child wear them in the water you should try a shoe like Native.

Question:	Has anyone tried machine washing these shoes
Answer:	I did and they came out fine.
Question:	How is the strap on these? i’ve had big issues with the keen straps on the h2s. are these easy on/off? strap too small or too big? thanks
Answer:	Yes, they are easy on and off. My opinion is that they have the same issue as the keens, in that the velcro doesn't extend across enough of the strap. So if you have to strap it around a small ankle, you sort of run out of adequate velcro overlap. The strap is also narrower on the Merrells so it feels flimsy, but has always held up just fine and caused no discomfort. That said, I like these and the keens and buy a couple pairs each summer and just go with whichever is a better deal at the time because they are comparable in fit, durability, etc.

Answer:	I would say yes. If your foot is wider pulling it on may be difficult otherwise. My son wears a solid 15, he's not quite a wide and these fit great in his true size.

Question:	Any advice on avoiding blisters while hiking through streams all day? Im sure a high drainage shoe would help especially in the desert if New Mexico
Answer:	These choprocks are no more or less prone to blisters than any other hiking shoe. These dry out faster than nearly any other proper hiking shoe or trail runner on the market. That's been my experience - after submersion, they are totally dry in anywhere from 1 - 3 hours depending on conditions. Your socks on the other hand will take overnight to 24 hrs to be dry. The blister issue comes about as a result of being in wet socks all day on river hikes, as well as dehydration and too tight of a shoe fit. Stay hydrated, size up one full shoe size so that you've got about 1 inch of clearance from your toes to the shoe and carry a 2nd pair of dry hiking socks that you can switch to for long dry stretches. Good quality merino wool socks make it unnecessary to switch them out immediately; a lot of people find they can hike all day in wet Darn Tough hiker socks and not get blisters. This is especially true for backpacking. So far I've worn these choprocks on two backpacking trips: 3 days in Escalante UT and 6 days in the Gila Wilderness, NM. Both trips were constant in and out of water. I would switch between 2 pairs of hiking socks each day so I always started the day with a dry pair. At camp, I would let my feet dry in my tent and do some standard foot care. Then for camp chores and cooking I'll wear the shoes without socks until they dry out in about an hour. After that, I would put on a dry pair of socks. You don't need to carry separate pairs of wet & dry shoes with these. I can't imagine how time consuming it would be to switch between wet and dry pairs if you're crossing the same river 10-20 times in a single mile every few minutes. Part of the point of these is so you don't have to do that, so don't do it. :)

Answer:	Yes, machine wash them, I prefer to put them in a pillow case, and then air dry them. Do not put them in direct sun though because this will case the materials to get too hot and shrink. I would also recommend using a detergent with baking soda in it.
