Answer:	Not that I have noticed. I normally don't pull up the lace because I have a very high instep. I sometimes tighten them and haven't noticed them coming loose. I really like these except the strap goes from right to left instead of left to right which would work better for an old man like me.

Answer:	No, they are not suitable for water sports. You can get them wet and but I wouldn't submerge them for any length of time. Otherwise, they are great sandals with good traction. Comfortable to wear.

Answer:	Technically no, however, I have several pairs, one old faithful that has been through everything, water, mud, everything, and the insoles eventually had to be Gorilla glued back together, but everything else held together fine...I kept them for just such circumstances. However, my newer ones have gotten wet/rained on and are holding up fine. About the only thing I find is that as they dry, the sole tends to curl up a bit on the ends, after a time (a year or so of wear and getting wet sometimes), which gives me a bit of grief on my problem foot, with the hammer toes; looking at buying a size larger to see if, should they get wet, and eventually do that again, maybe the sight curl won't hit my hammertoes. I love these, they are my go-to, I have never found a better walking sandal for my problem feet.

Answer:	The front straps are adjustable SMALLER, but if they start out tight, they will not stretch. There is a layer of stretchy soft fabric under the velcro tab that I LOVE, helps prevent rubbing. However, if they fit tight across the front of the foot when you try them on, I suggest trying a larger size; you can use the velcro to make it a bit smaller, but there is no way to really make it much larger, other than a little bit of stretch in the material.

I had this Hurricane model years ago and could not wear it out easily. No backpacking, but walked 18 holes of golf on more than one occasion. But has it changed ? I guess I will find out.

Answer:	I just wash them with a soapy sponge with dish detergent and then rinse them with cold water. I’ve had plenty of pairs of these sandals.

Answer:	I would call the color Sage. Greenish, grayish, muted, maybe undertone of a blue. When held to olive, they look more bluish. 😉Actually blends with a minty aqua green purse I bought.

Question:	Has anyone had an good experience with going a 1/2 size down rather than up? I haven't had good luck for going up a size
Answer:	The heel strap can be opened and closed, it is adjustable.

Answer:	I love these sandals, they are basically the only shoes I ever wear - super comfortable around town, daily 2 mile walk, etc. BUT... The soles and the uppers last forever, but the insoles don't retain their cushioning that well - 4 months and 200 miles and I'm ready for another pair. They don't do well in sand, and do really badly in water. I have been very careful not to get my current pair wet, but I got my first pair soaked once, and after they dried, the insoles had lost a lot of their rebound. After the insoles have gone flat after a couple hundred miles or after getting wet, these shoes should have a whole second life washing cars, at the beach, or whatever.
