Question:	are these waterpoof and light weight
Answer:	I have not really soaked these up yet but they are very light and warm!
Question:	Do these run true to size? I've seen other Salomon winter hikers that say get a 1/2 size up
Answer:	They are true to size. I did end up getting a 1/2 size up, but that's only so that I could wear my thermal socks with them. If I wear regular socks, I can definitely feel the 1/2 size up difference and are too loose for hiking for me.
Question:	Anyone have any sort of temperature rating on these
Answer:	The boot comes with a Salomon sticker it’s says ..Comfort 6 Celsius or 21F ...Limit -12C/10F ...Extreme -25c/-13F....personally I’ve been out all evening on an Astro shoot in 7C and my feet have been toasty comfortable warm....love these boots...could hike all day in them.
Question:	How is the arch support
Answer:	Excellent! All Salomon hikers have very good arch support, I have this boot, plus two different style summer hikers. The arch and fit are identical between the 3 different styles. The only brand of hiking boots I will buy.

Question:	Are these waterproof
Answer:	I haven’t had wet feet with these, used mostly in mountain snow but have crossed a few creeks with dry feet on the other side.
Question:	I bought a pair of these and it only says size 9. They are too narrow what ones do I buy
Answer:	I have 9.5 it's a bit wide which I really like. If you can look for 9.5 it will work for you.
Question:	How are these with thick socks, order half size up? Some review say narrow, so full size up
Answer:	Same size should be fine. I’ve done regular socks & thick. No issues.
Question:	Is there an advantage to the bungee cord vs regular
Answer:	It really just comes down to the users personal preference.

Answer:	Yes, but it is not padded except for the sides. It is more of a strap

Answer:	They were completely fine at 0 degrees (worn with woolen socks).
Question:	My normal shoe size is an 8. Would an 8 in these fit me fine with normal socks or do I need to go a size or 2 up
Answer:	The boot is narrow. I took the 1/2 size larger.
Question:	What are the temperature ratings
Answer:	I don't know but it was -30deg in Mongolia and with 2 pairs and sox and foot warmers they were fine for 4 hours. I wasn't outside for longer periods.
