Insulation: Pac boots are well-insulated to provide warmth in cold temperatures. They often feature thick, removable felt or foam liners that help retain heat and keep the feet warm even in freezing conditions.
Waterproof: One of the primary purposes of pac boots is to keep the feet dry. They are typically made with waterproof materials, such as rubber or rubberized bottoms, to prevent water and moisture from seeping in.
Tall Shaft: Pac boots typically have a tall shaft that extends well above the ankle and sometimes up to the mid-calf or higher. This design helps keep snow and cold air from entering the boots.
Lace-up or Buckle Closure: Many pac boots feature a lace-up or buckle closure system, which allows the wearer to adjust the fit and secure the boots tightly around the ankles and lower legs.
Durable Outsoles: The outsoles of pac boots are designed to provide good traction on snow, ice, and slippery terrain. They often have deep lugs or patterns to grip the ground effectively.
Removable Liners: The removable liners in pac boots are convenient for drying and cleaning. They can be taken out after use to air out or replaced if necessary.
Warmth Ratings: Some pac boots come with warmth ratings, indicating their suitability for specific temperature ranges. This helps buyers choose boots that match the expected weather conditions.
Variety of Styles: Pac boots come in various styles and colors, making it possible to find a pair that suits your preferences and needs, whether you're using them for hunting, snowmobiling, or other outdoor activities.
Sizing: It's essential to choose the right size of pac boots to ensure comfort and warmth. Some people prefer wearing thicker socks with pac boots, so consider this when selecting your size.

User questions & answers
Question: | ive read some reviews that say these run small and others say fit is right on. Tryin to figure this out |
Answer: | I wear size 10. Could barely get on the size 10 with my white cotton crew socks. Size 11 fits my feet well with the liner sock/wool sock combo. A great warm boot! |
Question: | how much do they weigh |
Answer: | I don't know the exact weight of the actual boots, I would think it should be on the description on-line, but I will tell you that they are NOT a heavy weight boot. They are great in the snow, mud & rain and will not tire you out wearing them all day long if that's what you're worried about. I bought them 2 years ago for hunting season because my feet get cold standing out in the woods all day long and they are pretty easy to walk in as well as keep my feet much warmer than my last pair of hunting boots did. |
Question: | Whats the grams of insulation |
Answer: | 2000 grams |
Question: | Whats the difference between the two boots listed on the site, they look the same |
Answer: | They are the same. Also, I have a brand new pair size 11, never worn, new in the box I bought last year sitting in my garage that I will sell you for $100. My teenager kid out grew them before he could wear them in winter. I bought them in the Spring. He wears a 12 now! I also have a new in the box size 10, same situation, $100. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Are these appropriate for temps colder then 10 degrees F |
Answer: | My husband wore these as barn boots working in a cattle barn about 4 hours a day. He always wore 2 pairs of socks, one pair heavy wool, and when it was this cold or colder, he did have cold feet. Of course, they aren't as warm as felt-lined Bean or Sorrel-type boots, but he says they were pretty good for barn boots. Hope this helps. |
Question: | Are these boots insulated half way up or do they have the felt on the bottom |
Answer: | The boots are very warm and insulated from top to bottom. Not sure what you mean by felt but they are well made and comfortable work boots. You don't wear them with shoes. These are the boots I use in the winter for throwing snow and doing things outside with snow on the ground. |
Question: | Are these still made in the USA |
Answer: | No, these boots are made in China. |

Any more durable, it’d be called steel.
Time-tested and proven in the field, our legendary ZXT rubber is known for its durability. We use more natural rubber than most other boots which means the Alpha Range will keep your feet both dry and protected in the harshest conditions, year after year. For added reinforcement in high-stress areas like the toe and heel, we use three layers of rubber. And because the top of your boot is constantly flexing when you walk, we’ve added two layers of premium rubber there, too.
Give your feet the hugs they deserve.
Since Alpha Range boots were designed to take on any job, they’ve been equipped with our Active Fit design. It adds foot-hugging cushion all around, as well as added flexibility to slide the boot on and off more easily. When on, the boot delivers a comfortable yet secure fit, which will hold your foot in place to prevent rubbing and chaffing.
Keeps the elements out and the comfort in.
The Alpha Range covers your feet, shins and calves with waterproof, flexible neoprene. It’s flexible so it can be rolled down to dry quicker or keep you cool when the temperature rises. The liner is made to wick moisture away and dry quickly so you can stay comfortable all day.
Big calves, small calves, we don’t discriminate.
Our signature gusset gives you plenty of options for customization. Need more room to tuck in your pants? Loosen it and lock it. Have smaller calves? Cinch it tighter for a secure fit. Textured finger grips help you pull the boot on easily while the molded kick-off heel plate gives you easy hands-free removal.

Question: | How much do they weigh |
