| Answer: | NO! No, no, no. These do not offer protection if anything falls on your feet. But, more importantly as others have said, they're light weight. So they will not handle too much abuse, they will be fairly comfortable if you are standing around all day. But you, you're working up and down ladders, walking in dirt, mud, gravel and carrying heavy materials. They are not designed for that. You MIGHT get a year out of them but if you are doing heavy construction, probably not even a year. Now if you aren't a grunt and are more of a finish worker, then maybe these would work for your needs. Unfortunately I dont know of any boots that are both able to handle heavy duty work abuse, but are also comfortable. Thats usually the trade off, comfort versus durability. This is my opinion based on doing a lot of construction work/renovations in my off time, while working professionally in private security. I usually get a year or two out of tactical boots for me at work, then when they stop fitting appearance standards, I "retire" them to be used around the house for yardwork and renovations. You might be interested in "Tactical Reasearch" Khyber boots, I found them to be very comfortable and fairly lightweight, but those specifically lasted me the longest (about 2 years) and I actually still use them at home now that they're beat to crap but are still holding together. Oh and you might be wondering why im here looking at UA when I clearly like the boots that I recommended. Simple, im nearly 30 and flat footed...I care about comfort far more now than I used to, so if comfort is what you want, then UA is a good choice. Minus some durability. |

| Answer: | If you buy a EE size shoe then you will. I can’t comfortably fit into a standard width shoe. The EE (wise) gives me the room to wear these boots without chewing up my feet or tearing out the side. I wore them during the Four Day March in the Netherlands with no problems. They had enough room for my feet to swell after 100+ miles and stayed the perfect size to wear daily after that event. In short, you’ll know if you need a wife because you’ll normally be seeking a wide shoe. |

| Answer: | In my opinion the run like most boots which is a half size small. I am normally a 10.5 in men’s, but I had to get a size 10 to fit comfortable. |
