Answer:	The year is not listed on the bottom of the toaster. I looked at the KitchenAid website and see that it sells for $110.00 so I am assuming they are still making it. Sorry I couldn't be of more help. I would add, however, that we really like this toaster and have had no problems with it.

Answer:	I gave this toaster as a gift. I believe the dimes. above are correct.

Answer:	i am not sure what you mean by fall to the bottom but if it is not all the way to the top when done the toaster has lifters-if you look at the toaster you will see the two bars are not all the way to the top-when you lift them up the toast comes up above the rim of the toaster so you can grab it. i am extremely pleased with mine.
Question:	Has anyone come up with a fix for broken lever buttons coming off of this? I've tried various glues, epoxy, sugru
Answer:	This is basically a very good toaster. Problem is that one critical part was poorly designed and that is the lever mechanism that holds and locks the toast in the down position. I disassembled the unit (had to fabricate a special screwdriver to do that), and located the problem. I filed a slightly tighter "hold" on that lever, tested it and thought it was a fix. I found two new levers on amazon ($10), installed them and thought it was good to go. Was ok for a few weeks, then pretty much the same issue. Forget about trying to epoxy those little levers. It's a waste of time. I had called Kitchen Aid and got the impression they could care less since it was 3 years old. She offered to send a new one for 10% off, which was more than you could find them locally. Just for information, after much research we bought a Farberware Model 201348 at Walmart and after more that a year seems to be fine.

Answer:	No the ties do not come in a gift box. They were each enclosed in clear plastic sleeve shaped like a tie; the ties were folded in half in a sleeve and each sleeve was folded in thirds stacked together then wrapped with clear tape and shipped inside a plastic shipping pouch.

Answer:	These are about 3 inches wide. The description reports 3.1 inches. I verified they match my other 3-inch ties.
