Answer:	Normally, there are two sets of ties on robes. The inside ties are to keep the robe from falling open, even if the outside (main) ties are not tied. Personally, I prefer to wear my robe that way, if I'm just hanging around the house.

Answer:	Ordered these for my two girls for Christmas 2015. I don't wash them every use but they do was frequently. They still look like the day we purchased. I did get a purple one that I only wash with dark towels in case the color bleeds because it's so dark but it hasn't faded. My girls love them and I would buy them again.
