Answer:	It is not light weight. It is about the thickness of a regular terry cloth towel. However, it is best to wash it before first use. It makes the bathrobe fluffier and softer. It is a great bathrobe.

Answer:	All terry cloth will shed strings a little I think. I have not had any problems with strings or shedding too much and it's a solid strong terry robe. I got a little bleach on it and a hole formed soon after so it's not the most dense material.

I also wouldn't describe it as Terry Cloth, because this a more plush, heavy material. • Adding 1/2 cup of white distilled vinegar to the rinse water will remove any detergent build-up and the lint
