But to answer your question.......the leg opening to the 541 Athletic fit jeans is slightly smaller but very close to our 513 Slim Straight and our 501 Original fit (which also has a straight leg opening).......HOWEVER, because the 541 Athletic fit has extra room in the seat and thigh (to accommodate an "athletic build"), the "appearance" of the leg opening is slightly tapered. In other words, the actual measurement is close to a straight jean but the jean LOOKS slightly tapered because the top half is looser. Does that make sense? |

Lake Merrit is a lighter weight (10.5 oz) stretch denim made of 92% Cotton, 7% Polyester and 1% Elastane. The Perseus fabric is from the Performance Strong collection and it's made of 93% Cotton, 4% Polyester, 2% Polyethylene and 1% Elastane. The fabric weight of Perseus is heavier (13 oz).
