I believe you are asking about the difference in the claims for this shirt on the Amazon product page vs. Polartec's claims about the fabric on their website. If so, you are correct. The website does not claim odor protection that I could see. But if you are interested in whether the shirt suppresses odor, I'd say better than most base layer shirts but not perfectly. I don't notice anything when I'm wearing it, but at the end of the day, it goes into the laundry like every other similar shirt I own because, depending on the level of activity, it will have some odor.
