Answer:	Yes, but only the headband gets wet , the material is water repellent so it doesn’t soak. But the headband does get wet and you can wet that before you use it, that’s what I do.

Answer:	I believe it will. I have a “slightly” bigger head and it fits perfect! I’m actually going to order another one in a different color to suit my gardening mood. Lol!

Answer:	I am not sure about the mesh allowing UV radiation through--my guess would be somewhat--a little bit maybe. What I can tell you is this: I work on tennis courts and it is hot and the sun bears down on you. This is the first hat that I have been completely satisfied with. I keep saying I should order another one. The hat is perfect for keeping the sun off your face and neck. I highly recommend it.
Question:	is this hat machine washable
Answer:	I haven't washed it yet and it doesn't say on the tag, if it is or not. I will put it in the machine for wash for sure, when I need it washed.

Question:	can the ear flaps fold up inside the cap
Answer:	Yes, the flaps can be folded up inside the cap. That is the way my husband wears it. It makes the edge of the cap a bit bulky when done that way, but it is not that noticeable. I bought the same cap for myself, since some of the reviews of the ladies' size cap said that it was very tight. When I fold the flaps up, I fold them to the outside, which works well also.
