Answer:	We haven't had a big storm in Maryland since we purchased our umbrella but it is sturdy. I would think that with the dome shape top it would be more difficult to get blown inside out.

Answer:	I would NOT buy the kids size for a 10 year old unless he/she is a very small 10 year old. I just received the kids size for my 9 year old today and I'm returning it. I ordered the full size for myself and love it. I'll get a full size for my daughter too and she can perfectly use it now and as she gets older as well. The kids size is suitable for a much younger child or a child who is very small in size.

Answer:	I would say it's a standard size umbrella -- definitely not small, but also not like those beach umbrellas you see some people carrying.

Answer:	We had some pretty nasty winds in Georgia over the weekend, 20+, it held up fine. It's really a great umbrella. I never thought I'd feel so strongly about one but there it is ;-)

Answer:	I'm very familiar with Mycroft's character style. This umbrella while closed is very sturdy and great to lean against while both ankles are crossed in a very Britsh-like pose. Beware though that the handle might be a little too tight and thick for your entire hand to fit around. I frequently use it in a similiar way and glad it's very strong and won't easily break when used for gestures and other movements. It's a good choice if you don't want to buy an expensive umbrella, over $300, like the one Mycroft Holmes uses. It's a good buy, I highly recommend it.
