Answer:	I would recommend the 9-18 month size. The hat is slightly fitted and made of cotton so it doesn't stretch much. The tie underneath keeps the hat tight and secure.

Answer:	These hats have a draw string in the back to make it bigger or smaller. I believe I bought the 0-6 month size for my baby. He was 2.5 months and is now a little over 5 months. I haven't had to adjust it very much and he still has room to grow. They have a 9-18 month old size that I would imagine your 13 month old would be able to wear for quite awhile. I love this hat and plan to get him a bigger one once he grows out of this one. It's the only hat I use unfortunately for the other hats I have for him.

This was their response: "The UPF coating on your Swim Hat should not be negatively affected after one cycle in the dryer, however, we do not recommend continued drying cylces. The UPF coating is considered to be durable for the life of the garment, but will gradually start to wash out after about 30 washes. All our UV-protected sun wear is treated with the patented Rayosan technology by Clariant. They Rayosan treatment increases the SPF of fabric without changing the fabric's appearance, handle, or breathability. Answer:	If you really have your heart set on purchasing, I would do 0-6months. This has is extremely big even on my 1 year old. But I wouldn't recommend this hat honestly. Target gets some really cute hats with a Velcro strap and they work perfect for being out in the pool and such. This hat made people think I had a girl even though his hat was orange.

Answer:	The 6-24 month size fits my 22 month old just fine and he even has room to grow in it. I have the 2-8 year old size for my 4 year old and there is plenty of room for him to grow into it. Question:	What circumference does this hat fit
Answer:	Not sure, but the hat is made in China and is 100% polyester. The color has not faded after a year of use and the material is still soft.
Question:	How does this hat hold up in the pool? I'm looking for a hat my daughter can wear without it sopping up the pool water like a cotton hat would
Answer:	I would assume polyester as it was definitely not Cotton
Question:	Our four month olds have small heads as they were born two months early and heads in the 10th percentile. Curious whether or not the 0-6mo will fit
Answer:	Mine can't be adjusted. There's just elastic so it can stretch some.
Question:	Can it be adjusted to fit different head sizes
Answer:	I though one size fits all.
